We might be losing Larry Scott. He is a serious candidate for the USF job. I could see moving Knox over to TEs and bringing in Seider?
Nobody could see that! We all would love it, but it ain't happening.

I'd worry more about gervon.

BTW, Jim Leavitt will not be retained at FSU as a defensive analyst. Does he end up at USF as a DC? Would we want him as DC if Grantham leaves?

I think Davis might stay due to injury history and likely being 2nd string next year. Clement youre probably right about
At one point, wasn't Clement being talked about as moving to defensive back(safety)?
Edit: Yep, he was, last season. Suck it @t-gator
Secondary shakeup: Dan Mullen reveals Gators DB Quincy Lenton out for year, RB Iverson Clement practicing at safety

The news was revealed after Mullen had previously announced that freshman Iverson Clement was taking reps at safety.

I used to know someone who was tight w him, but no to so much since both people moved on.

My sense is that Mullinz burned that to the ground. I cant imagine it being rehabbed.

I really don't see any +1's unless we whiff.

If we have 6 spots,
- Tim Smith, long shot but should have a better idea after the weekend
- Pinder, I think we should take him even if we get Smith. Some of these guys can play SDE and I think you'll get separation through some RS'ing
- a RB
- a WR
- Beckwith
- Williams at Safety, in reference to 2 Bits

Here's the problem, we can't take all of those guys because Stewart Reese should be graduated. He want's to go to med school and he's from FL and knows the offense. He'll come here if we let him, and we should let him.

We may have some other JUCO's or transfers that we could use to shore things up. I just don't see where we'll be in a position to take a +1.

I also think Clement will have the opportunity to play. He was touted as a RB with great hands out of the backfield. We're going into a season without much expectation in the running game so why not give a guy who has the closest hands to Perine a shot. He may also be an option at slot. Not saying he's good enough or not, but I think he'll be given a hard look.

I
We can take them all. We have NOT been at capacity for a decade and have early enrollees to count back. "Counters" can count back as well.

The only issue really is the Foley "Never Over 85" Rule even we know 5 or so kids will leave like every year.

They will definitely take Smith, Pinder, Harris and Joseph. I guess you can say that we want to shore up the DL. We will be losing a few from the DL next year so it was imperative that we recruited DL heavily.

I think it's something to be said that our best recruiter right now is David Turner. Nothing against the guy but he is going to pull in a decent DL class and he isn't really even that great of a recruiter...

Billy G obviously can't recruit worth a damn but he's a good developer at the receiver position. English and Knox need to be upgraded badly. Two concerns for me this cycle is the lack of good receivers committed and or going to commit and our RB room is flat out pathetic...

Not to discredit the job he's doing, because he's doing a great job....but heavy DL is the easiest position to sell on this team. We signed 2 in the last two years, only 1 is still on the roster. Our DT depth is depleted....it's an easy sell. Same goes for Safety, where we're doing 'okay' (not great, like we're doing along the DL) - and that's an area I'd be okay seeing us making a coaching change.

We're doing pretty well at safety. Torrence and Tre'Vez Johnson are going to be great safeties for us. Now we do need one more safety and it will come down between Mordecai Mc Daniel and Avantae Williams. There are some delicate things going on behind the scenes with Williams and his cousin Lorenzo Lingard.

If we land Williams, I'll change my tune. But I do like Torrence & Johnson.

Receiver and running back shouldn't be hard either but here we are
