Interesting how different the two are
247
18311

Rivals
18312
It's not just regional bias. The formula is different. One favors "gpa" and one favors total points per class.

I also find it interesting that Ohio State is taking a step back from elite. Good for us bc CUM was eating our lunch at STA and much of the top kids from Florida.

Pretty sure rivals only counts the top 20 in the class whereas 247 gives points for every recruit so class size matters in the 247 rankings. And 247 more closely follows the average player ranking.
If you reorder rivals by average player ranking UGA is number one (with only 15 recruits).

Yeah, but they weight it so you get less points for a lower ranked player. So the lowest ranked player in your class adds fewer points when a better player commits. I think their approach is pretty good, actually.

That's great and all, but let's hope that 4 years from now he's not one of those guys everybody in the stands get a quizzical look on their face about when his name is called to come out and hug his parents on senior day.

Like Steve Bell?

We can take them all. We have NOT been at capacity for a decade and have early enrollees to count back. "Counters" can count back as well.

The only issue really is the Foley "Never Over 85" Rule even we know 5 or so kids will leave like every year.

Longer than that. I’m pretty sure Meyer had over 80 scholarship players just once in his tenure.

Meanwhile at the Stupid Clown School, besides the three players that bounced yesterday, their prized QB commit Jeff Sims is visiting Maryland this weekend.

With the recruiting landscape it is today, he might as well sign ESD somewhere that fits him. Pretty sure if Norvell is signed that he can't handle that offense

Wow! If he decommits and goes elsewhere, the new coach is completely fubared. That would mean no legit QB signings in 3 years.

I heard, but don't quote me on this, that Feleipe Franks is available the portal. But he's probably going to LSU anyway.
hope so, too damn slow processing to run that offense

Can you imagine the boos he would get coming back to the swamp next year?
