@PeteThamel: One thing that Florida State fans can expect from the Mike Norvell era -- lots of points. Memphis has finished Top 10 in scoring offense in each of the last three seasons. They've been pass-heavy, run-heavy and adapted seamlessly to varying personnel.

And never faced a defense to speak of.

ACC ain't tops in defense either, but they are still better than anything in the AAC

How does an offense become pass-heavy AND run-heavy?

Answer: They run a whole lotta plays.

Unfortunately, he can probably implement his offense pretty quickly at fsu. Who he hires for his staff and how well they recruit will be interesting. The early signing period and their horrible start to this class gives us a pretty good advantage for this year, which likewise puts Norvell in a deeper hole to get out of.

We heard that about McElwain as well when we hired him. Although it's a lateral move from the AAC to the ACC.

For a few years FSU won't measure up to Memphis. And we can handle Memphis anytime. During the meantime, UF should outdo Clemson, Georgia, FSU in recruiting Florida kids. EJ followed by AR better keep us as the top SEC team to be on.

This guy will definitely be an upgrade over willie, hopefully he'll amount to an annual 7-9 win coach that can't beat us.

So they get taken for a ride on the Stoops train and end up with their 5th choice, what a disaster of a hire, may as well have kept WiLLLLLLLie.

5th? More like 14th to 18th choice. Urban, B. Stoops, M. Stoops, Franklin, Fleck, Brian Kelly, Brent Venables, Matt Rhule, the Clemson OC, Matt Campbell, Dave Clawson, Malzahn. Kiffin, Bill Cowher, and a few others I’m sure I’ve overlooked.

Pump the brakes, Rog. Until we actually SEE improved recruiting, I think you've got some lofty expectations. That said, if Odell Haggins leaves f$u, which is likely, we'll probably win more recruiting battles vs the nole$.
