Comparing a passing game coordinator/WR coach to a head coach coming out of the AAC to a power five conference makes absolutely no sense. Joe Brady is solely responsible for a dozen players, while Cornvell controls the reins of recruiting, game plan, assistant coaching decisions and player personnel, media, blowing boosters, etc. Cornvell is in for a very rude awakening and installing his offense at FSU will be the least of his worries.

If you want an apples to apples comparison, take a look at Frost/Nebraska and let us know how that worked out for the last AAC coach to jump to a power 5.

You took my comment out of context. I simply alluded to the unexpectedly big impact he had on LSU.

BTW, Frost would have done better to land in Tallahassee than Lincoln. The recruiting in the state of Florida is obviously better.

1. This is pure bullshyt. They went to the table with Franklin. They did the same thing with Mark Stoops. They were in contractual discussions. Both coaches walked away because of piss poor offers. Who knows how many more they did this with.

2. On the other hand, they gauged the interest of a number of coaches like Kelly and Campbell but were told no. No contractual discussions was had because the coach wasn't even willing to get that far.

They were with Bob stoops as well.

:lmao: Every time I look at Haggins I picture him homeless.

Ox doesn’t get enough credit for his sense of humor. If we were all sitting around a table slamming Zimas and having this discussion, he’d be the one making guys double over laughing.

I picture him showing up at practice each day with a clunky medical device he’s trying to unload, and then racing back after practice to one of those shelters.

I don’t see him as the type to solve a rubik’s cube in a cab, but I could see him pulling out a close win at connect-four against a mentally deranged man on a bus, wowing onlookers.

The real question is can the guy recruit. If he can’t we will be top dog in the state for years to come. If he can, it’ll be back to being Competitive games again

“The inquiry, previously unreported, stemmed from a complaint by a teaching assistant who said she felt pressured to give special breaks to athletes in online hospitality courses on coffee, tea and wine, where some handed in plagiarized work and disregarded assignments and quizzes. The assistant, a 47-year-old doctoral student named Christina Suggs, provided emails and other evidence in late August 2013 to the Florida State inspector general, an independent office. But her case was soon taken over by the university’s attorney.

The allegations were especially sensitive for Florida State, which had been stripped of 12 football victories four years earlier because of improper assistance to athletes in an online music course. The university was also at the time facing a scandal involving its star quarterback, Jameis Winston, who was accused of rape but never charged.”

Supposedly Haggins is going to retire due to health reasons. Yet he wanted to be head coach. Doesn’t add up.

this came from an FSU fan. While I doubt a booster called him a ******, it would surprise me in the least that their are racist boosters, even here. I really would like to know why Norvell has been skipped over so many times.

Good work, Goon. Damn, you should be writing for the New York Times.

I think you meant the hyperlinks.

Good information nevertheless.

Google “Dr. Brenda Monk” for the facts about over 75% of the football and basketball team being in the “Learning Disabled Program” headed up by Monk.

In no particular order FSU had Bob and Mark Stoops, James Franklin, Matt Campbell, Brian Kelly and PJ Fleck on their wish list, but ended up with Cornrows Norvell? So Norvell was actually the Noles 7th option to replace Tagglewain.

I pulled up an ESPN story from 2009. Love the cutline beneath the pic of Bowden.

“Our university found this problem. It’s not like I had anything to do with it.”

@FSUFootball: We are thrilled to announce Mike Norvell as the new head football coach at Florida State. #OneTribe ✍️: Mike Norvell Named Head Football Coach

Judging his outfit, Norville is headmaster of his own barbershop.

:lmao: Every time I look at Haggins I picture him homeless.

Wait? Haggis is entering the transfer portal? Will he fit.

Also, how do you get "found out" at cheating on an online course for multiple "student-athletes?
