Beetle Bailey ahead of Jimbo?

I’m no Jimbo apologist, but he’s light years better than Smart.

Cocaine is a helluva drug.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion and I am not going to try and change anyone's mind. And I don;t care about records, rings, championships, etc in determining coaching rankings, but I find it hard to believe that anyone who watches a reasonable amount of football can in any way consider Cousin Eddie a Top 5/10ish Coach. Just watch the games and see how disjointed and poorly managed they are. I cite our most recent game against the :nole::nole:. We were penalized before the first play from scrimmage after the opening kickoff for a delay of game penalty. How the fook is it possible to get a delay of game penalty coming out of a dead ball situation? Well I will tell you b/c we were penalized for the exact same penalty in the 2nd half after the :nole::nole: kicked off after a score! Getting a delay of game penalty once in a season coming out of a dead ball situation is inexcusable. having it happen TWICE in the same game is criminal and that alone eliminates anyone from the great coach discussion, regardless of the outcome of the game.

You’re so dense. It also happened to FSU. The announcers both said they thought the refs were doing something weird - either setting it very early or not signaling. That’s why the players and coaches were bewildered on both teams each time it happened. Not trying to change your opinion on Mullen - we all know you think you would do better than Saban himself - but this was a truly odd occurrence.

I am not surprised it happened to the :nole::nole::nole::nole: that's why they are the :nole::nole::nole::nole: and I don;t give a shyt what any announcer says. Most of them are idiots. Your explanation reeks to me of excuses. And I am not a fan of excuses.

He has to win something just to make top 5 in the SEC. No one who isnt orange and blue thinks Mullinz is a top coach. Hell, he was our 4th pick and Tinerc's 17th.

Top 5 in SEC:
Saban
Shart
Jimbo
Malzahn
Ogeron

Order is debatable other than #1.

Thats what the trophy cases say and that is also what recruiting says will continie to happen.

They dont give trophies for moral victories as far as I know.

I wouldn’t put Jimbo top 5 in the SEC. I would probably put Mullen ahead of him. Jimbo’s trophy case in the SEC is as empty as Mullen’s. The fact that he stole one in the weak azz A-She-She with a loaded roster and a once per generation college QB doesn’t count for much IMO.

They’re both averaging about the same number of losses per year as HCs in the SEC, with DM having coached at more of a bottom feeder than Jimbo. TAM’s roster has been more loaded than Missy St. just because they sit in a talent rich state, yet the dwarf still loses 4.5 games per year in his new conference.

I’m not saying Mullen is a world beater. He’s fcvked up in-game management repeatedly and cost us dearly against UGA & LSU this year. His recruiting has been substandard. He needs to beat UGA, win the SEC and get us back in the NC picture. Until he does that, he’s an also-ran. His running buddy also-ran lagging a little behind him, though, is Jumbo. They’re both looking at the azzes of Saban, Kirby & a few others way ahead of them in the distance.

An unsolicited tip, Seabee. Starting your reply with “you’re so dense” is a tad outside the Dale Carnegie playbook. Beware the feedback.

What kind of crap list is that? You have Malzahn and Jimbo over Mullen?

How the hell do you have ogre over Mullen? Because he’s had one good year? Because he got a QB who may have statistically the highest completion percentage in the history of college football? Ogre has sucked every other year he has been in the conference.

And yours, as usual, reeks of ignorance and hindsight bias. It’s not an excuse if it’s true. But you can’t see that because you’re too busy trying to pretend like you’re more knowledgeable than literally everyone else.

Your schtick is always the same - b*tch endlessly about everything and say “oops” when it works out for the better. I wish I could dig up your 2005 posts. Probably littered with funny nicknames for Meyer and complaining about Fooley’s Latest f up. Then in 07 when you probably complained about Meyers team being bad reps of the university. Then in 09 about a team with no leadership. I bet you even complained endlessly about Spurrier.

I had to look this one up buyback that’s really funny. Well done.

Speaking of him, his full name was Dale Breckinridge Carnegie. His parents couldn’t come up with a pretentious first name to complete the trifecta?

I thought @Swamp Donkey said you are what your record says you are? If CDM can’t discount his time at MSU, why does Ogre get drop his disaster at Ole Miss?

You do know the on field play clock wasn’t working?

I tried fetching an image of a blind squirrel. I came up empty handed.
there's some truth to that too but we've seen it before with Fat Fulmer and Less Miles. Eventually if you have stocked the rosters long enough you might get very lucky.
