From a postseason perspective, once we lost to UGA the goal that was within our team's control was to keep getting wins and get to a NY6 bowl game. Mission accomplished.
Everything else was out of the team's control, including which NY6 bowl and who the opponent is. I know many of us would have liked a game against a better opponent than UVA, but a good coach can find benefit in beating any opponent.
In addition to getting the extra practices for guys who'll be in the 2-deep next year that were not this year, if the Gators get ahead early, a lot of guys further down on the depth chart can get real-game playing time rather than just scrimmage time in the Spring and late Summer.
And if the team is having a good time on the field during a big win, as they were in the F$U game, recruits watching will see that as well. It's the kind of environment guys want to come to Florida to play in. And recruits will watch, especially guys who might be a good fit. Because they would rather watch games of teams they might want to play for than to watch a lumbering, old-school midwest program that they have no interest in.
