Listen you dumbass....he's getting 12Million for NOT TAKING A HC job.....Have you ever been offered 12M for NOT taking a job??? He and Mullen used to eat BBQ together when out on recruiting trips...., he is going to replace TG after this season AND be named Co Head Coach, and you're going to love it as much as Whisky fans loved him for bringing them 3...yes 3 consecutive B10 titles...something no one has ever done before or since.....Trask and Bert are going to lead us to the place were supposed to be,,,,now get over it.

How has Ox not banned this guy?

Sam Pittman...WTF? Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad because it weakens UGA but this is their idea of a big time, kick azz, splash hire?

It's not a splash hire at all, but if he recruits decent enough like his reputation suggests, then he could do alright.

He’s probably one of the better quiet hires of this carousel, believe it or not. They obviously were getting shot down by guys like Norvell and Kiffin. He’s probably at the level they can get right now, and is a really good coach who can recruit. I still think Arkansas is a really good job that gets overlooked way too often. But with what they can actually pull right now, it’s not a bad hire.

OMG! I went to hogville.net just see the reaction and they are just fawning over Pittman. I think I threw up a bit in my mouth. Low standards? :shake:

Not surprised. Their fans also loved the Chad Morris and Bert hires when those two were first announced.

Dabo calls plays? He was never even a coordinator himself IIRC.
Sure he was, in the end when Bowden thought being CEO would fix things. But I think Dabo was RC too and WRs.

Any time you have a team with 2 or 3 coOCs it is a team that the HC is actually the OC.

More Donk BS. He has nothing to do with playcalling. Elliot is the primary and Scott inputted for passing plays.

https://www.thestate.com/sports/college/acc/clemson-university/article223962465.html

Do you ever get tired of making stuff up?
Jeezus. Running game coordinator and passing game coordinator. " There has been talk that Scott could leave to be an offensive coordinator elsewhere so that he could run his own offense on his own." Because he doesn't run his own offense at Clemson.

Who do you think decides between whether they are going to run the running play coordinators play or the passing game coordinators play?

It's just like with Mullinz, he has a passing game coordinator and a running game coordinator too. Mullinz calls the plays. So does Dabo. It's not really that hard to see if you watch them on the sidelines.

I actually think that Chad Morris used to call plays at Clemson though.

That’s only part of the article. Did you miss the part where it said Elliot is the “primary playcaller”. Stop being stupid.

Forget it. Not worth it.
I know what you think you’re trying to say - who ultimately decides? But here’s the thing - I’ve read multiple articles and Swinney is never once mentioned to be associated with playcalling. It’s Elliot’s show. It would’ve been Scott’s if Elliot left. Elliot calls the plays and takes inputs from Scott (and others). Similar to Mullen. Sorry brosef... you’re just wrong.

TigerIllustrated - Why Clemson's assistant coaches are in no hurry to leave

“Scott probably is the farthest away of the three from a head-coaching job, but he will be an increasingly attractive commodity. If Elliott leaves, Swinney’s promote-from-within tendency would almost certainly hand play-calling duties to Scott.“

I disagree, watch Swinney on the headset on offense vs defense. He isn't just countermanding or giving general suggestions, let's run this series or that. Watch Mullinz too. It's their offenses.

They aren't doing shyt on defense, basically letting the DC drive the boat. It isn't just general CEO type guidance going on.

Anyway, this isn't worth the time and it's late. Later on.

This will be the ultimate shyt show for the hogs. Big names will not touch them for anything in their current state. I see Arky getting worse with this hire. They'll be down for a long time. We all know track records with these AHC that are OL coaches.......Just Saying
