florida averaged 300.4 yards passing per game, which is the first time we’ve averaged over 300 since 2001.

Just thought that was worth sharing

Trask and the passing attack have been great, but the average wouldn’t be nearly as high if we had any semblance of a reliable rushing attack. Then again, maybe it’s even more impressive that we’ve managed 300 ypg when the defense knows we can’t run.

The latter. Mullen’s done yeoman’s work with Trask and the playcalling, which earns him a pass for not going with Trask to start the season.

A lot of the “passing” yards were quick horizontal passes meant to supplement the running game. Hats off to Mullen for finding a way to make it work though.

Well, this certainly is a gem, isn’t it? Please don’t stop there. Explain yourself fully.

I know. I touched a raw nerve over your unending love for Feleipe Franks. Never could quite understand the bond, a quarterback who couldn’t find the receiver over the middle even if he had a large red target painted over his number and a poster who worships the ground Nafis Karim stands on, but that’s the spice of life.

Hell, we even got a few vertical tosses out of Trask. You’re a tough crowd of one.

I don't even think he looked over the middle. You noticed Butters rarely ran any routes there at all.

He could be hear Butters screaming in his subconscious NEVER THROUGH OVER THE MIDDLE!!!!!! JUST PUNT THE BALL... NOTHING WRONG WITH PUNTING!!!!

Your posts literally have no basis in reality.
It was commented on during the FSU game by the Fox guy, QB from Vandy.

I heard it as Mullinz said a three weeks back (before FSU) I asked why are we running these running plays when they don't work.

I was corrected and told it was a coach (Brian Johnson) asking him why we are running the plays that don't work.

I havent replayed the broadcast yet. Maybe I will to get an exact quote for you.

What that we tried a couple of option plays against FSU?
What games were all these option plays in that you keep going on about?
Dude, if you aren't aware we ran thousands of options this year, there is no point in trying to explain it to you. This is middle school level offense stuff. It is basically every run play and a good number of the passes.

We did later run some inside or outside zone, but not a lot.

Pretty sure we ran an option play near the end of the LSU game and they shut it down big time.

If Heavsey does any work this off season along with Savage to build us an OL will be huge for our passing game. Not sure if the average will hold up. But a run game with the attack that Trask had going......it would be huge.
