I think that there were 4 trick plays, and one of them worked (barely, the flea flicker). Trick plays usually take some time to develop and our OL can't generate that time.
Marshall had two tipped balls at the line of scrimmage. That's great, but if he grabs either one it is a walk in TD...
Trask
Mertz - He's might be the best leader of this group.
Grier - Oh, what could have been. Those wins against UT and Ole Miss wouldn't have happened without him.
Franks - Lost out in the coaching lottery. McElwain sucked and Mullens tried to make him into something that he wasn't. Tough as...
Trey Lance. Played a total of 18 games for North Dakota State, then got drafted 3rd overall by San Francisco. Toughest college games were against UC Davis, South Dakota State, Montana State, and James Madison (won them all).
One more thing. Do you think Billy could use his Louisiana connections to get Dree Brees for a pre game pep talk? Billy sounded like he was channeling Ben Stein.
I don't have an issue with going for two. If you get it, you're 7 up. if you don't you're 5. After we missed two kicks I'd be leery of trying to go up by 6.
Our defense was great, but they were good against Utah too and we lost. The Tennessee game was a well rounded effort and the crowd deserves some credit too. They get some credit for all of those false start penalties that Tennessee had. Now the team needs to good into Lexington and show that...
That's not what happened at all. Montana tore a ligament in his elbow, missed the 1991 season and almost all of the 1992 season. He requested a trade to cut down on the drama.
Targeted 3 times , caught 1 for 1 yard, had two bounce off his hands, one for a deflected pick six. Pretty much lost the game for Kansas City. Mahomes is really going to be thinking twice before he throws it to him again. Maybe he should burn those yellow gloves.
Grier went right until he didn't. The heave to Cleav is one for the ages, and most of 2020 was good. The legend of Kyle Trask will be Gator lore forever.
I agree and would like to add that if they are going for it on 4th down, they need to go much faster. Get the ball snapped with 15 seconds + on the clock. Make the defense guess at when the ball is going to be sanpped.
