That's why you aren't the coach or the AD.

The better team won. Overall I have no problem with how the game was called. If you want safe predictable play calling give Muschump/McElwain a call.

Passing attack over the last decade

Look at 2001. It's insane Florida Gators 2001 Game Log | College Football at Sports-Reference.com You can scroll forward and backward to see other seasons. Last time we had 6 250+ or more was 2007. We had 9. That year was all offense and no D. 2008 only had 3. 2006 had 6.

Can you believe LSU is favored by 13?

While I think LSU is the clear favorite, I'd take UF and 13.5. I've seen some articulate that the death valley home field advantage legend is overrated. UF was the only team to beat Nick Saban lead eventual national champion LSU @ LSU (although in the afternoon). I think it was Spurrier's...

That was the biggest win since the Meyer years

You follow this stuff closer than I do. And again I'm not basing it on recruiting rankings. But from various things I've heard / read - our defensive talent is pretty good - very good D line, and we always seem to be good with DBs. WRs are loaded. OL and RBs not so much. QB is kind of a wild...

That was the biggest win since the Meyer years

Maybe based upon initial recruiting, but I'd say we are better than 15 talent wise. But yeah, 2012 was probably loaded, although as I recall we weren't terribly deep scholarship player wise and eventually were riddled with injuries.

That was the biggest win since the Meyer years

While this was a great win, in 2012 we beat #4 LSU, then the next week beat #3 Spurrier coached South Carolina. Destroyed SC with defense and turnovers. 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football rankings - Wikipedia Florida Historical Scores

Dan Mullen Really is the QB Whiperer

Mullinz is gonna Mullinz, but he seems far more adaptable to his personnel than most O Coordinators. He wants his qbs to run, but his play calling/scheming with Trask has been excellent. Overall, I think he made Franks look far better than he is. Even sometimes when the play doesn't work...

    Saving for college

If you can't afford it, start with a community college. I did one year and loaded up credit hours, then transferred to UF, and eventually went to a "top 10/20" private graduate school, with partial fellowship. A friend of mine did the same thing, one year cc, then UF, and ended up an MD...

    Impeachment talk and the Markets

TPP would have been good for American business but it was **** canned day 1 of the current administration.

    Follow the shrinking Fed

It will be interesting. But I've past the point of trying to figure out what will happen. For 20 years I've though interest rates couldn't possibly go any lower. Lucky for the most part I don't invest based upon my macroeconomic musings.

    Thoughts on Trask

Totally agree with OP. I hope he is right about learning pocket awareness. For some it never comes (brantley / driskel). At least he gets rid of it faster and makes very good first reads. This is a sack/fumble pattern that we've seen in several games and D Coordinators will definitely try to...

California, Florida sign law to allow college athletes to get paid

It may or may not be best for college football. Probably not. That isn't the issue here. Freeing the slaves wasn't good for the Southern agriculture industry.

California, Florida sign law to allow college athletes to get paid

Which makes him different that anybody else in the country how? The disdain for the free market is palpable. Besides, it isn't the university doing well he paying.

California, Florida sign law to allow college athletes to get paid

I guess I don't see the issue. We aren't asking the colleges to pay. It would be agents or third party sponsors. I suspect this won't be big money for most players.

It is interesting how a bunch of free market disciples prefer a Soviet style model of college athletics.

California, Florida sign law to allow college athletes to get paid

It won't end the game. It is in the best interest of all to keep it alive and attached to the college. Most of the football players don't graduate. Why does the athlete have to do it for free to keep your interest?

California, Florida sign law to allow college athletes to get paid

You are right. But if actual right now money is on the line, perhaps it will change their perspective. Or perhaps not.

California, Florida sign law to allow college athletes to get paid

Sure this may change the game, but is only fair. These kids are the product of a multi billion dollar industry but most have little to show for it. Best I can tell it leaves the university out of this. What kids do with agents and endorsements is between the kid and the third party. Kids...
