    Music On Your Mind v.2

I remember he asked me if I ever listened to Dr. Hook. I said 'Sure, my older brother had some of his albums.' His wife snickered. I wish I'd been able to know him better. I saw a lot of good free shows by Leon Russell during Bike Week. One was outdoors, back yard of a biker bar, big permanent...

In 1964, Irma Thomas sang this song before the Rolling Stones did. Thursday they sang it together for the first time. Pretty cool show at New Orleans JazzFest.

Holy chit I never even heard this song before. Great intro and video. I met Dr. Hook around 1990 when I installed his cable tv. He lived on A1A in Flagler Beach. I had no idea who he was, my work order said 'Ray Sawyer'. He told me about how they hoisted the piano with pulleys over the 2nd floor...

This song will be on CBS tv show 'Fire Country' this Friday evening, May 3. I've seen a few episodes, its cool that they're using good music. Brandon had back surgery a couple months ago and is still recovering. I hope he got a nice check for this. Some fans started a GoFundMe for his...

Really random moment in today's Indycar race. Barber Motorsports Park in B'Ham, AL is a nice course with eccentric art placed around it. This mannequin has been hanging there for as long as I can recall. The cars turbulence must have caused whatever was holding it to give out. I had a similar...

R.I.P. Mike Pinder, original keyboard player in The Moody Blues, from '64 to '78. I saw the band at the Ocean Center but in the 80s with Patrick Moraz on keys. Mike was the last original member to pass. This album is 'Days of Future Passed' which defined the band's sound as progressive rock...

Holy crap. I didn't even know DION was still alive. 84 yrs old and great vocals! I mean, he was before my time and I never listened to his music. Shemekia is awesome, been following her for about 15 years. She has won many awards in Blues. At first I thought this was a cover of The Shirelles...

Recommendations on Window or Portable A/C Units

I had a Penguin portable that was great. Like in CD's photos. It was also a heater and dehumidifier. I second LG or Frigidaire window units, they're a good price and value.

    Best Covers

10 years ago, NYC. Davy playing w/ the Grainger brothers, of Acoustic Alchemy. They're as good a rhythm section as you will ever hear. I'm pretty sure the guitar is PRS' own special custom that he gifted to Davy. The first solo at 4 minutes in was blistering.
