Falcons finally admit their mistake, waive QB/TE/WB Feleipe Franks

I was gonna go with something a little more bland, like Feleipe Franks. I know he likes those distinguishable titles.

Falcons finally admit their mistake, waive QB/TE/WB Feleipe Franks

Arthur Blank asked for it back or that Franks work the Home Depot customer service counter without pay for a year. He needs help affording Kirk Cousins.

He sat on his butt and collected a paycheck the last few years as a project TE. They even tried him as water boy. https://bloggingdirty.com/posts/atlanta-falcons-finally-move-on-from-arthur-smith-s-project-quarterback-01hrsneeseb1

Local Media starting to turn on Napier: Spurrier speaks

Goes without OC or special teams coaches, hires a gazillion people to chase paper. Billy is man of many contradictions.

Local Media starting to turn on Napier: Spurrier speaks

Of all the damning things to have thrown at you as a coach, being a disorganized mess has to rank near the top. SOS essentially just called Billy a slob.

SOS reflects on his upcoming death

The Amazon truck is turning onto my street with an impending delivery. SOS could live another five years. That makes his death eventual but not impending, which is "about to happen." Now, if he's laying on a RR track in Athens with a locomotive coming at him going 80 mph, that's a different...

Nick Saban wants to be voice for change in college football

It's called use of hyperbole to hammer home a point. Don't go getting your Dixie flag all wadded up.

Nick Saban wants to be voice for change in college football

Did I buy in or acknowledge what is inarguably an irreversible trend? Don't go putting words in my mouth. The NFL just raised its cap another $30m per team. That's only going to increase the clamoring. You can scream school spirit, loyalty and leather helmets all you want. It ain't changing the...

Nick Saban wants to be voice for change in college football

I think we're headed toward some sort of hybrid model such as suggested here. The universities want football, the NFL wants to pass off the developmental cost as much as possible, and the players want the ability to pick and choose.

Nick Saban wants to be voice for change in college football

You're asking the NFL to pay the tab on further player development when it's already being paid by the universities. They want a free thing.

Nick Saban wants to be voice for change in college football

Just accept the reality that some, maybe most recruits want in and out in under four years. Forcing them to stay any longer under a false pretense only leads to unintended consequences.

Nick Saban wants to be voice for change in college football

If he can help trigger positive change in some form then more power to him. But we're not going back to the naive idea that coaches, administrators and the universities themselves can make lofty sums of money from today's game while the players exist in some sort of state of indentured...

Nick Saban wants to be voice for change in college football

He's nothing here but a surrogate for the ignorant notion that you can and should put the genie back in the bottle. Ain't happening.

Nick Saban wants to be voice for change in college football

You don't get it. The genie is out of the bottle. It's taking laps around the stadium. The things you don't like about college football didn't happen in a vacuum. They are the outgrowth of the inequity that has grown within the game. This is pretty simple. You can't have one group getting...
