0-6 UConn @ 0-5 UMass: UMass rolls, fans storm field

This is an awesome game. The two teams widely considered to be the two worst in the FBS, someone will actually come out with a victory. UConn is actually an early 1.5 point road favorite.

The Huskies have lost 10 in a row and 30 of their last 31 to FBS opponents. That didn't stop them from nearly beating our beloved Vandy at home, who needed a last second FG to win. Interim coach Lou Spanos (someone we should be looking at to replace Mullen) has 'em flying high. They believe!

The Minutemen have lost 16 in a row and 22 out of their last 23. However, they have an insane home crowd advantage (capacity 17,000) for this one. HC Walt Bell, a serious up and comer, expects to have this team prepared and ready to play.

True freshman QB Brady Olson is expected to get another start UMass. Here he is, the only idiot I've ever seen wearing a mask under his helmet. I'm sure that mask would be very safe and comfortable during a game and probably wouldn't cause a heat stroke. Not at all.

On the surface, the Minutemen are clearly the superior squad. My only concern is that Walt Bell has been on the phone all this week with an anonymous 352 number and won't be as prepared as his team should be. Surely, those kids have to know that sooner or later he's on to bigger and better things. But I still think it could be a serious distraction. Give me Uconn is a squeaker.
