Sully actually hasn't been a threat to lead his team to a losing season despite a crap load of talent, unlike that hoops coach.

 

In Baseball "upsets" occur more frequently, especially in tournament play. Still, I am pleased with Sully's recruiting and player development. Rarely do these Gators have an irrelevant season.

 

Schedule dropped, uf opens ne ballpark with um series

 

We should be a top contender to finish the season in Omaha. But it's baseball and nobody goes undefeated especially with the schedule we play.

I don't need some bozo to tell me we are gonna be great this season. Just look at the team chemistry in this photo. A perfect sack-tap.

 

Seating will be 'distanced' and masks required for the entire game. I already paid for my season ticket but due to limited attendance I will not get my selected seats and find out Wednesday if I can get a seat at all. Go Gators!!

 

Fauci has insisted no sliding. Dust particles carry COVID into the air. Catcher's mitts need to be rubbed with gel before each pitch. Pitchers are allowed to throw "gel-balls" - not spitballs.

 

Two weeks from Friday for the first pitch at the new ballpark. Sweep the new park out with a cane broom!

Pitching
Now, what you have is the best pitching staff in the SEC. Vanderbilt might have two better frontline starters in Kumar Rocker and Jack Leiter but Florida’s three starters (Mace, Leftwich, Barco) and their arms in the bullpen are much deeper.

Hitting
We’re obviously starting with Jud Fabian. Two years ago, when Fabian skipped his senior season (this is common in football but almost unheard of in baseball) I remember asking O’Sullivan how he did it. Fabian could have been picked in the top-10 rounds if he would have played his senior season. Now, Fabian is considered the best position player in college baseball and will be a first-round pick, if not a top 10 pick overall. O’Sullivan told me that freshman year, Jud is going to play for his defense, he’s going to steal bases, and anything we offensively would be the cherry on top. Jud hit .232 that season while starting 54 games. His sophomore season he was on the way to something special. Fabian was hitting .294 with a team-high six home runs through 17 games, and his eye at the plate was sharpening as well, drawing 10 walks in the last six games alone.

He’s a true five-tool player. Get to a game if you can to watch him play, he’s a guy you’ll be watching play in the Major Leagues not too long from now, and will be able to tell your friends that you watched him play in person. The rest of the lineup is strong as well.

 

Josh Rivera looked good last season at ss. But, he has had issues with fielding so far. If he doesn’t get it corrected, he will lose his job to true freshman Jordan Carrion who is really pushing for that spot.

 

Are they selling beer at the new ball park?

 

That's the plan unless covid changed it. Drinking warm overpriced beer out of plastic cups is not my cup of tea

 

Why people keep listening to him is beyond me...I guess it just speaks to the power of television

 

So I could not buy season tix a little while ago b/c they had sold them so I asked about single game tickets for a few games. They told me to call back and I did and they said those have all been sold. So, if anyone has any tix or know of any for weekend games later in the year, I am looking for just one. General admission is just fine. Thanks
