Only 4 of the 16 National seeds made to Omaha and they all lost their first game. This tournament doesn’t line up with how the game is played. The worst team in a field of 64 can beat the best team on any given day, but not in an extended series. There needs to be less teams invited with longer series played with regular season narrowing the invites. Otherwise it’s unfair to criticize any coach or team.

If Bernie Sanders was a baseball commentator...

Criticizing baseball coaches, managers and umpires and calling for them to be fired is integral to the game of baseball. It's in the DNA. Not criticizing coaches is as unnatural as a sex change.

That’s funny! But my point is that the college baseball post season is like pachinko, anything can happen. There’s a reason the MLB plays 162 games and plays best 4 out of 7 when it counts.

Yes I agree that anything can happen and the best team doesn't always win but that is true of every sport from lacrosse to hockey. How many times does Alabama and Georgia have to play to determine who the best college football team is? Even the NFL is single elimination and the NBA playoffs is way over the top. It is no longer about the sport, promoting the sport or improving the sport it's just about increasing the revenue stream for the owners, networks and players. Also, ncaa baseball has a double elimination format. Do any other ncaa sports besides baseball have double elimination tournament? This is college not pro ball so teams and coaches have to do the best they can. Life is not fair sometimes.

Gone is #2 Stanford and #9 Texas leaving only two (#5 aTM AND #14 Auburn) of the top 16 left in the final 6. Both play in the losers bracket tonight in elimination games.

Oklahoma and Ole Miss are the two teams with the best chance to advance to final. Barn and aTm would have to win today, then beat the team in the winners bracket to get to the final.

OU took care of business and gets to play cornhole games until Saturday evening.

Ole Miss v Arky again today at 4 pm, no margin of error for either team today.

Seems Oklahoma has been the dominant team throughout. They will have the fresh arms I suspect Ole Miss is pretty gassed.

ANOTHER big transfer for the Gators

Pitcher Hurston Waldrep from Sothern Miss. Supposedly has "1st round potential" and is a "strikeout machine" (according to the Twitter post). He started 17 games last year with a 3.20 ERA and 140k vs 33 walks in 90 innings.
