It's hard for me to watch those. My heart breaks for Alydar knowing the price he eventually paid for losing those races. He was a valuable stud horse, but not valuable enough to save him from the scumbag running Calumet in 1990.

JT Lundy died in 2019 of cancer.

I was telling my SIL about this story yesterday. She was friends with the son of JT. They were very familiar with the story and she suspected foul play when it happened. Too many suspicious circumstances and the timing of the payout and bankruptcy.
