I'm not sure how good of a WR he'll be, but he's fast AF if his reported time he just ran is accurate (a 10.48 100). The national sports pages have been blowing up because DJ Metcalf just ran a 10.36 at 235lbs....but he's also a full grown man, built like a brick sh*thouse (vs. a 17 year old HS kid). Bond is apparently going to run track also. Based off of what the services did w/ the WR out of Lakeland that signed w/ UGA two cycle ago (Arian Smith) - bumping him soley based on his speed (as he had around 12 receptions as a WR), this kid should get a bump. I think it's a solid pick up as the WR crop in the state of Florida is down this year (we should get Gibson...hopefully, at least).

Are we talking about Isaiah Bond? Recruiting services think he cant catch/ aka is a DB. Isaiah Bond, 2022 Cornerback - Rivals.com

Maybe he is looking at us because we will let him play Wide Blocker on the offensive side of the ball.

Well, it looks like he'll be a 4-star on Rivals (and a 3-star of 247). I'm not sure if can catch or not, he's got plenty of time to improve his receiving skills....but he's got God given speed to work with. Toney couldn't catch much early in his career either.

247 scouting report
Looks the part from a physical standpoint. Might not be the tallest of skill players, but isn’t exactly short. Should eventually be able to get up to 185 pounds or more. An explosive, versatile athlete that is viewed by some colleges as a wide receiver at the next level and others as a defensive back. Has already mastered running the 9 route on offense as he quickly eats up cushion and uses his elite track speed to blow past defenders. Plays with a bigger catch radius than his frame would initially suggest and isn’t afraid to get his jersey dirty. Skilled at tracking the ball over his shoulder and can gear down when needed. Spent most of junior season working on the outside for a Buford squad that won a state title playing in the Peach State’s third-highest classification. Doubled as a cornerback and found some success there, as well. Ability to quickly accelerate and close gaps in a hurry might be his best asset on defense, although he is physical with his hands and has shown on tape that he can make a tackle it the open field. By far one of the fastest prospects in the class of 2022 having gone sub-10.75 in the 100-meter dash multiple times. Could emerge as a deep threat that takes the top off a defense with his dial-up burst or be molded into a coverage specialist that’s able to hang with the game-changing pass catchers that every College Football Playoff contender is trying to roster these days.

He's already half way there to running all of our routes!!!

I notice he is also still visiting Alabama in the summer. It may come down to whether he wants to play DB on a championship team or be a Wide Blocker on whatever you call Dildo Dan's teams.

He is a football star running track...or is he a track star playing football?

He's a star football player on a state championship team from a football factory in the state of Georgia - and he also runs track because he's fast AF. Check out his commitment video, he's been playing football a lot longer than he's been running track. It's hard to recruit RBs & WRs in this offense, especially when we go back to Mullen-ball with a running QB who will: (a) take away a lot of carries from RBs & (b) take away a lot of pass attempts when he decides to run vs. pass the ball (meaning less receptions/stats for our WRs). The WR's in this offense block - a lot! And after 4 recruiting classes, THIS is what we get from this coaching staff. I think it's a good take, because of his speed. We aren't landing the 5-star's (or high 4-stars) - they go to schools like Alabama & Ohio State. So we need to get comfortable with our place in the CFB pecking order.

By 2007, the elite WRs and Rbs figured out Dan Mullinz offense (or I should say the
negative receuiting did) and have steered clear. It is true what we land will be from the blemishes shelf.
