Let's not run off our first new poster with half a brain in God knows how long.

Joe’s just excited he’s no longer “the new guy.” He just doesn’t realize that doesn’t change the lack of respect he gets around here.

Georgia already locked up the #1 CB in 2024 (Ellis Robinson IV), along with the #2 and #3 Safeties (with #3 coming out of Rockledge), and are trending for the #1 Safety.

This puts them on pace for another elite DB class (yet again). There really need to be actions taken to lessen these elite FL players leaking to out of state schools, especially so early in the cycle.

With back to back chips, the Georgia football brand is hotter than a housewife at the Magic Mike XXL premiere.

It’s been devastating for us. Killed us for the 2023 class. We have to fix this for the 2024 class.

A win over them this year will do wonders.

It won’t matter. It’s much deeper than that. Along the same lines of why Alabama has been able to get their talons into Florida talent as well.

I’ll share the Reidel Anthony interview. Listen to it if you have a moment. It’s a long listen. And this is a small part of the interview but it goes into depth on why Alabama was getting kids from Florida. Whole interview is about an hour. And no they weren’t paying kids.

It was institutionally driven strategy on partnering with high schools. I think it’s something Napier’s working on right now.

The reality is, there are a host of circumstances and factors involved in every coaching success and every coaching failure. To build off of what you just said, guys like RA and Fred Taylor very likely go elsewhere if we aren’t trending and team and um isn’t rumored to be getting hammered for violations. We benefited just as the noles owe some of their rise to our misconduct in the early 80s. Meyer walks into a generational talent that grew up a Gator an hour away in his first full recruiting class(and Leak to start). Take that one piece away and we’re rolling with Portis and then the headaches of both 2007 QBs. Literally everything about his tenure could be different, great coach or not. you could argue that Mullen walked into the best situation since then, with both state rivals down and uga just beginning their ascent. He squandered it and as a result we fall further behind in our in-state recruiting than maybe ever before, aiding uga in their first of two titles. And guys like Cristobal and even Norvell, who could’ve started from a major hole relative to us(MC), or been stomped on entirely(Norvell), were allowed to stay alive and become problematic once again.

Point of all this is that I have my concerns with Napier, but the reality is he inherited none of these advantages and quite possibly the most disadvantages of any head coach we’ve ever had. It won’t be corrected quickly, and may never completely be.

You're right, it may never be. But coaches will still line up to be the next sacrificial lamb with a big buyout.
