Play design. Look up outside or split zone and see who blocks the backside DE (or any backside LBs), then guess what happens when you run this playaction about 80% of the passing plays and try to pass out of it (usually with slow developing receiver routes)... especially if you add a fake jet sweep to it to further slow down the the action.

This is another example of "just because you can draw it on the board doesn't mean it works." Our adjustment was mostly having the jet WR try to block the backside end. Guess how that went?
So Billy hired a slew of low level assistants to straighten up the locker room and sweep the halls and dust the Gator head. But if he was emulating the "Bama" model, why doesn't he have at least half the analysts to help figure out why his scheme gets blown up? If you can figure this out by observation, why cannot he and his staff even without a staff of extra professionals? Serious questions. Maybe he's being advised that, "it's not working because...." and he's not willing to listen? Frustrating.

We have a normal sized staff, but we are like 9th in the SEC in payroll.

Tthose staffers are are GA types. We don't have former coaches etc bringing a wealth of experience to the team. Of course Im not saying pay undeserving people more money, but we apparently didn't spend enough to get better. If you don't trust your assistants opinions, then you have to spot check/ double check and move slower.

Im not excusing the myriads of mistakes the coaches have made but some of the $ is out of their hands and they can only afford what they can.

When the coaches would complain, Fooley/Stricklin would add like one recruiting assistant or a quality assistant every 3 or 4 years. We were still closer to a 1979 coaching staff than a modern one. Now we have numbers but not quality.

Malachi Nelson, USC (Prediction: South Carolina)

Recently entering the transfer portal, Malachi Nelson has generated significant interest and speculation. Rumors linking USC's interest in Kansas State transfer Will Howard provide insight into the potential motives behind the decision of the former five-star recruit to seek new opportunities and a fresh start. Meanwhile, Spencer Rattler's departure from South Carolina opens up the quarterback competition with LaNorris Sellers, creating an opportunity for Nelson. Intrigued by how Shane Beamer and his staff revitalized Rattler's career post-Oklahoma, Nelson's camp sees USC as a potentially ideal situation on the opposite coast.

We can recover at RB, just sucks he’s going to go make Georgia better. Should be even more motivation for our guys going into Jville next year

What a kick to billys nuts
What nuts?

What will really be telling is when he is buried on the depth chart as the third or fourth option just showing the glaring gap in talent between the programs. Fxxk ETN.
Kirby has every intention of using ETN, if only to prove our staff cannot use talent then will use this every time they need to make a case against UF. He has the luxury of experiments like this. In the back of Kirby's mind is letting ETN run for 150 against us next year. Surely the georgia staff sees another opportunity here to punk Sunbelt Bill.
