He's going in the top 4 (possibly #1), so he won't be getting any time. He'll be thrown to the wolves in September.

Him deliberately hurting himself wouldn't surprise me to get himself out of starting Week 1. He'll be crapping his pants, possibly literally.

I was unimpressed (due to the obvious lack of talent on the opposing team) until that over the should fade pass at 3:14. WOW! No way you can teach that. Then rest of the video was impressive the rest of the way. I hope we've got this one and he doesn't slip away.

I don't think that will be good for him, but you're probably right. I guess if it's the Panthers they'd be willing to throw away a couple of years while rebuilding.

I haven't seen a fade like that since Wuerffel.

I actually think BN is being pretty smart about the QB situation in '23, unless it's just horrible. The expectations are lower so if they are good or serviceably good, then they will be at the top end of what we expected. If they are bad or less than what we expected, BN will take some heat but expectations were low anyway. Either way I think it's building everything else to get to '24 and beyond when better athletes get here. There's no way to go around this "process", gotta go through it.
Hey, and if Mertz or Miller overperform and transform us, they get tons of credit and raise their stock.

IF that happens, and that's a HUGE if, then I get to proclaim at the top of my keyboard voice how delightfully wrong I am/was about Mertz. But right now it looks like a clownshow for a reason......Mertz and Miller are horrible. Maybe CBN can turn water into wine and make'em something. All we can do is wait and see.
