I looked up Billy Napier in the dictionary and the definition is
S
L
O
W
I realize you and I cannot agree on much Swamp- you being a drank-the-kool-aide drinking sunshine pumping Napierite, but hear me out:

The staff hires, issues, shuffles, disorganization, communication issues, and management all stand out. There are those that believe he was given four years minimum, but I do not believe it. There's not a bad hire made by Florida since Meyer that deserved another year so I sincerely doubt Stricklin, out of guilt, committed to that. However, watching last season, it felt like a HC that couldn't affect change and improvement during a season, and maybe just makes changes in the off season. Saban would have been reaming Corey Raymond on the sideline. Our coach smiles. So this season we have the new iteration. I really believe we are going to be better but whatever could be done to be better during these 12 games, probably won't be addressed until the next off season.

There's hope that the new coaches on field rule will allow us to have more STs organization and success, which all the teams we played last season did not need. Let that sink in.

Not sure if it applies to this kid in particular, but I expect all the bigger schools to see this more moving forward. The reason is the transfer portal. Schools in the Syracuse-level realm (where this LB is committed) are relying far more heavily on portal. So, they can justifiably tell kids get your spot or you won't have one. The better schools and guys who know from freshman on that they are 4 stars are exceptions and can choose later. Everyone else has been expedited due to shrinking classes (and the early signing day too).

It will be interesting if this alleviates some if scholarship rosters get expanded.
Scholarships get expanded to 105 next year.

You are right, missed that part. Good catch.

Also, I know he is a 2026 kid but I haven't seen a thread for that yet.

Will Griffin is dropping dimes tonight. It's a pleasure to watch. Jesuit up 38-8 in the 3Q.

Last week against Valdosta was not as pretty. But he's making Blake pay the price.

Make that 45-8. Griffin just threw a Weurffelesque pass to the end zone, and you didn't know WHO was supposed to catch it. And then it was caught. Brings a fyching tear to my eye.

Valdosta looked good last night, early on. They held on to beat South Gwinnett.
