So they went to a bowl at 5-7. I can’t even imagine how embarrassing that was. Do you even tell your parents, or just hope they don’t see it on TV.
Also, they only went to a bowl because of a rescheduled La-Monroe game that had originally been canceled and wasn’t going to be played until they asked them to do it so they could get to 6 wins.
I’m trying to decide which of these scenarios is more humiliating. I hope part of their bowl gifts was a free consultation with a shrink of their choosing.

The title currently says, "FSU is not bowl eligible for the 4th straight year." You are right, that's wrong. It should say five straight years. FSU has not been bowl eligible since 2016 even though they've played in two bowl games since then. When there aren't enough bowl eligible teams to play in all the bowls, the bowl selection committees have to make do.

No. They went to a bowl at 6-6. After losing the bowl game to Ariz State, they finished 6-7. They did play La Monroe that season (winning by one point in OT when ULM failed to convert an XP), but it was early in the season. The rescheduled game with ULM was 2017, after Dumbo had already left for aTm.
