FSU coach Willie Taggart says he is not worried about drop in spring-game attendance

Fans attending Florida State’s spring football game Saturday had plenty of room to spread out.

The Garnet and Gold game drew an announced crowd of 27,901 at Doak Campbell Stadium. It was a huge dip from last year’s announced crowd of 60,934.

From the Tampa Bay Times' Matt Baker,

The dropoff in enthusiasm was evident. Last year’s spring game drew an FSU-record crowd of almost 54,000 fans, including legends Bobby Bowden, Deion Sanders, Dalvin Cook and Derrick Brooks. This year’s crowd was nowhere near that, in size or intensity. The announced attendance (27,901) seemed generous. That’s not a surprise given last year’s 5-7 flop, but it was impossible to ignore.

I watched some highlights, paying attention to the crowd. I'd say 10-15k, not 27k.

Are they really bragging about their offense? From a spring game?

:bwahaha:

Offenses Shine As Gold Tops Garnet, 27-21

The record books will show a win for the Gold, but, more than that, the spring game counts as an emphatic victory for coach Willie Taggart’s “Gulf Coast” offense.

All told, the two sides combined for 923 total yards, six touchdowns and 17 passes of 15 or more yards.

And they did it all in a hurry. With new offensive coordinator Kendal Briles running the show in Tallahassee for the first time, the Garnet and Gold moved at a blistering pace, combining for 96 plays in the first half alone.

I remember when a lot of our fan base was excited after that spring game when Del Rio looked good against a bunch of 3rd stringers and walk-ons.

That’s hilarious Terry said they’re gonna “do something” with this offense...these guys are really clowns
