Lol what. He took his dream job and he wasn’t good at it. He built a hell of a talent base for Meyer to work with and beat Bobby the night they named the field after him. That right there is absolutely priceless and deserves its own trophy

Honestly, why is this guy still coaching? ST's in Wisconsin? He's worth at least $10 million. Go enjoy life, live in a warm weather state, and relax. Same goes for Butters. How he landed on Harbaugh's staff as a WR coach is amazing....and then he gets ANOTHER D1 head coaching gig (from an AD who was a staffer at Alabama while he was there). I don't get it. First off, Butters is worth at least $10 million, he's a terrible football coach, he's lazy, and he's approaching 60 years old....plus he's a fat POS, so he's probably got a heart attack on the horizon. Why stay in the business? He's failed. He should use his UF money and buy a ranch in Montana never to be heard from again...
He would sit there at his desk slamming beers watching the monitor. Whenever a neighor walked by with a dog, he would flip the switch on the irrigation system.
He gave it his all here and had some really good wins, so I’ll give him that. But he and his approach had an expiration date the moment he began and we were fortunate to make a move before he took us completely off the rails.
I’d have no problem with him doing some recruiting for us but that’s about it. And if he is coming back, and has access to those lollipops they give out at the bank, I’ll take a red.

As a little kid i was a Baltimore Orioles fan and when Brooks Robinson retired he was replaced by a guy named Doug DeCinces. Good guy, decent fielder and hitter, but no Brooks. Meanwhile there was a young hotshot thirdbaseman in the farm system who everyone knew was destined to be a Hall of Famer; fellow by the name of Cal Ripken. Once Cal was ready they sent DeCinces to the Angels and that was that. (Who knew they were gonna move Cal to short the next season?) I have always thought of Zook as UF's DeCinces: The average guy stuck between two legends.
