Auburn's DL is legit and so is Miss State's. Miss State has 2 of their DL's on most pre-season 1st team All-SEC teams.
meanwhile alabama is turning away high 4 stars that are consensus top 50 players because they arent good enough for anything other than a gray shirt. Please...

Well sure, if All-SEC teams were based off of star ratings Alabama and UGA have the best DL's in the SEC.....

Apparently they practiced some short yardage/goal line and both Franks and Trask ran well (i.e. got in the end zone a few times).

Just based on the visual test I know Auburn's D line could get after the QB really well. Didn't watch Miss State's that much but the SEC Channel was claiming they are the first D line to ever return two SEC 1st team D linemen from the previous season. If true that is hard to believe with all the SEC 1st teamers we had under Spurrier.

Well, according to DSS that's impossible because Alabama turns away 4-star recruits..... :D

From Goldkamp observations:

Trask makes Krull wait on the corner route. Franks overthrows the go route.

Trask behind on the go route. Green drops the go from Emory. Less clean through this set of reps.

Krull can’t catch up to one. Franks low to Pitts, hits the dirt.

Emory hits Cleveland in the feet. Massey drops one.

Stephens drops one, Jones overthrows the deep ball. Trask also overthrows it.

Trask on the wrong page on that one, threw between two crossing routes. Trask wobbles a corner route way short. Shaking his hand again. Wearing a glove on the throwing hand today. Clearly bothering him again.

Green drops a shallow cross. Wilson picks off a corner route from Franks after tipping it to himself.

Brunson beats Davis for a sack. Clayton yelled at by Grantham for being out of position. Franks flushed, coverage great. Eventually tried to hit Krull and overthrows him. Burney with a sack, unblocked off the edge.

Van Jefferson drops a deep ball after beating Edwards. Franks should have thrown to Swain on the corner, who shook the DB to the grass and was wide open.

Franks low on a bullet on a crossing route, receiver bails him out with a good sliding catch.

Defense blows coverage on a corner, Franks not a great pass but gets it there for Raymond.

Gamble drops a pass. Wells wide open down the sideline, Jones 10 yards behind him. Awful miss.

Franks has to scramble and eventually throws downfield into coverage. Should have just tucked it. Nice coverage there.

Emory way high on a curl for Stephens, but a very good catch.

Trask hits Green wide open down the middle, nobody within 20 yards.

Clayton with a sack on Jones. He’s playing rush end. Short run for Jones. Clayton and Langham bully the pocket for a sack. McCoy blown up there. Another sack, this time Shuler. This line is atrocious. Gourauge, McDowell, McCoy, Moore and Delance.

Jones overthrows a well-covered out. James Houston absolutely buried Lemons in the hole. Missile. Emory on a keeper stuffed. Not much getting done behind this third-team line.

Emory too high for Swain on a seam route. Pierce with an OK run off the left side. Hevesy again ripping O-line for tempo.

Sounds like the OL is still an issue, especially w/ the "tempo". Some plays made on both sides in the practice, a few names mentioned for having a good day - Gardner especially.

@Swamp Donkey will like this: Jaylon Jackson stood out at WR, had a good day.
