Not nearly as much as we are suffering from overpaying Head Coaches of late. For 12 years now we’ve needed a knockout hire. Instead we’ve gotten the equivalent of Milburn Drysdale hiring Sonny to oversee the Clampett fortune. We’ve been going back to Bugtussle ever since. I’m looking for Coach Napier to turn the truck back around and head back towards Beverly Hills.

Really, it's not hard to look at the numbers and see UF seems to be willing to pay similar to the top program even thouh this thread has about ten pages whining about how cheap we are. This does not seem to reflect that POV.

Your numbers were a bit off, though.The difference was $1,892,000.00, distributed among 10 coaches. So on average Bama is paying their assistants $189,200.00 more per person than us. You don't think that's a significant difference?

And btw, Fuchs you for making me do math. ;)

You shouldn't be that depressed, unless you know about it from watching the original network broadcasts as opposed to the syndicated after-school re-runs on UHF.

I added Bama ST/TE coach Drew Svoboda because you didn’t have an equivalent to Tim Brewster on your list, but his 2021 $750k salary is in parenthesis because I couldn’t find it, so I used the 2020 salary of the coach he replaced, Jeff Banks.

If my math is correct, which I will caution you that it rarely is, that brings the combined totals to $6,045,000.00 UF vs. $7,937,000.00 Bama.

So we pay 25% less than Bamma for the coaches.

We also have about (guesstimate) 80% less support staff (headcount ... no idea what the $$$ are).

And the intangible of the football knowledge and professionalism of Nick's rehab program.

All I can say is: GO BAMMA, BEAT THE BUTTSNIFFERS!
