Wow Ox, that vette looks good!

You must be very happy to have it running. Keep us up to date on any new stuff you do to it.

And like Navet, I'm surprised you have a grandson...

So congrats on that too!

:chomp:

He's like in his 30s...I'm 51, had my first kid at 23, and she's just now pregnant for the first time. He must've been a busy 12 year old.

You have a grandson? Aren't you a little young for that?

Wasn't expecting that either :lol2:

My stepdaughter had a baby at 18, giving me a stepgrandson at age 38. Far from ideal, but he's been a blessing and being around him since his birth has made me a better man. I have no children of my own.

Great that you are participating in the life of a child. As you noted it is as two way street, you give and then you get (or possibly in reverse).

Thanks man. Taking her over to the detailer tonight. He'll have the car for 3 days - clay bar, polish, wax, some wet sanding, etc. At that point I'll be able to install the new emblems - all three of them were completely sun rotted. I'll get some new pictures up when I get her back.

After that, I need to get some exhaust work done and a few other things, but the car is running at least.

Well, it really looks great & can't wait to see it once the detailer finishes & you install the final touches!

BTW, you may already know about these guys, but I've recently had to do some component replacement on my youngest childs Jeep Cherokee. (new headlights units, steering pump, alternator, etc...) and have found these guys to be both fair priced & very fast shipping. Sign up for their rewards program & you'll routinely get free shipping codes & if you specify what vehicle you're most interested in they'll add special deals on specific stuff for that vehicle.

My grandson gets behind the wheel for the first time!

Grandson? Now I feel guilty for taking shots at you. My parents raised me better than that. Grandparents are America's treasures and are typically so sweet or curmudgeonly. I do hope you never forget to take your Geritol. So many grandparents just don't get the proper nutrition. :eek:ldman:

The sled looks great, by the way. Great job.

Got the car back from detailer, which means I finally got to put the new emblems on. The originals were horribly sun rotted.

Okay, finally got some sun so I could take some new pictures now that the car has been cleaned up. Still needs a few things, primarily some exhaust tips.

That's the longest midlife crisis I think I've ever heard of.

Or it could be that I like powerful cars. Nav, try driving something other than a Honda for once. Live a little.

Toyota, not Honda.
