I suspect as a one loss with a win over #6 OU it would allow them to jump an idle UF into the #4 spot (assuming the rest of your scenario held true).

Yeah, and Ugay, LSU, and barn had the other 70 and 2 of those teams are currently in the CFP. We gave LSU a better game in their place than anyone else and better the Bama at their place IMO. I'm guessing with a more competent DC we would have won one of those games and be in the SECCG game Saturday and also in the hunt. It would have been better though had we played powerhouses like FAU, Miami of Ohio, Alabama St. and Rutgers so I get you point.
