Does anyone remember our linebackers saying how hard it was to tackle Adam Lane?
I know it was late in the game but he averaged 12 yards per carry.

And.... He broke many tackles. And WM raved several times how good he was but didn't let him
play until the next to last game.

Maybe our new coach will see the raw talent this guy has.

Muschamp doesn't like to play underclassmen. Period

There were holes to run through. Jones and Taylor might of tKen some of those the distance. That being said, Lane looked good.

At least Lane has finally made it on the field. I can understand a lean to Jones/Taylor but with the season UF has had, it's inexcusable he hasn't already seen the field.

Also, although WM is a good, accountable guy, this post-firing lionization of him, though understanding, is a bit much. He absolutely sucked as a HBC. Great DC, maybe he'll learn from his time here for a future HBC gig but a currently terrible HBC. Last week against USC epitomized his tenure.

He redshirted last year. This is the end of his second year.
This is another reason his butt is gone.

The new coach will reveal how inept WM is at evaluating
offensive talent.

He is starting a true freshman at QB. Freshman have seen playing time at RB and OL this year. Last year Taylor, Fulwood, and Robinson saw playing time. The year before that Jones, Humphrey's, Pittman saw playing time. Before that was JD and JB as freshman QB's. These are a few off the top of my head from the offensive side of the ball. Obviously he plays many freshman on D, as well.

I'm glad the dude is gone but I will never understand the mysterious "he doesn't play underclassman" claim. He has proven each year he has been here that he will play them if they are capable and/or are needed. This whole falsehood seems to have started when we believed Taylor wasn't getting enough playing time earlier in his freshman year. While that may be true I think it is quite a misnomer to claim he doesn't play them. He's played them on both sides of the ball and on ST every year. I think Florida plays about as many or more freshman as any other team out there.

He only played those underclassmen on Offense because he was forced to because of injury. He was eventually forced too this year because Driskel was a new kind of bad.

That Safety put a pretty big hit on Lane's second carry. But otherwise he did seem "hard to tackle".

Honestly, we better hope he sticks around. If Jones leaves we are down to Taylor, Powell, and Lane....of Lane and Jones leaves we're in trouble at that position.

Lane is the real deal. He hit the holes fast and hard without dance in his hips and got north/south as quickly as possible. Picking up that first down on 3rd and 17 right up the middle was a thing of beauty.

Brandon Powell, CJ Worton, Duke Dawson, Treon Harris, Quincy Wilson, Jalen Tabor, David Sharpe, Gerald Willis all true freshmen who have played this season. Kelvin Taylor, Jarrad Davis, Vernon Hargreaves, Rod Johnson, Caleb Brantley, Ahmad Fullwood, Demarcus Robinson, Joey Ivie, Alex McCalister, Alex Anzalone, Keanu Neal ALL sophomores or RS Freshmen who have played. Yep, the guy hates underclassmen.

Am I the only one that has been wondering where Adam Lane has been all year? He ran like a stud and looks to be a real handful.

If he transfers some other coach will put him on the field.

That would be a fair statement to make IF Mushamp was staying.

I swear it seems the same thing is said over and over and over and OVER...It's like some people have 3 "go to" statements and just select one based on the topic. What the hell does that even mean? We will have a whole new coaching staff next year and you're suggesting he'll transfer because "Muschamp" hasn't played him enough. What about the next HC? Perhaps he'd be as likely to play him as the guy Lane transferred to (and then sat out a year to play for). Yeah, that would serve Muschamp right for not playing him...wait...Muschamp won't be our coach next year.

Get some new material people.
