Anonymous flooded social media (Facebook, You Tube, Twitter, etc) with this declaration of war.
They flatly announced (to fanatics) that Anonymous will close down every radicals' Websites (no online recruiting).
When they go back up Anonymous will put them back down. They also vowed to track the money supporters and publish
the $ amounts with the names of the orgs and countries that supply $. In this Anonymous will be acting as heroes.

This is greater than what our FedGov can do because we have to obey restrictive laws & are watched by the ACLU,
just waiting to sue. Anonymous answers to no one.

Well Gee now an illegal and immoral group is great because they are going to break the law for what we think is a benefit. I bet the NSA or CIA could do the same but it might be illegal so they probably won't.

Yes, and the NSA/CIA would never break the law.

My only concern is if a force is unrestricted like that, what's the repercussions if they make a mistake? Suppose they published YOUR name as a sponsor or possible terrorist? They could thrash anyone, and they are not accountable. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the unrestricted help in shutting down such terrorist recruitment sites, but someone somewhere has to be making the decision on what to go after and what is ok, and that is a human who can make mistakes.

That's great but begs the question of why haven't they been doing it all along? I mean, these same guys have been hacking anyone who they don't like for whatever reason or are contrary to their version of left leaning ideals for years. If they had this ability and are such bastions of freedom one would think that their number one hack target from day one would have been those who are far and away the most oppressive groups on the planet. Did 9/11 not make them want to go after these muslim hate sites? How 'bout all the atrocities in Syria and Iraq? All the beheadings of innocents? The treating of women as property?

Don't get me wrong, if they can disrupt these islamic idiots at all I'm all for it. It's just curious that they made this decision now.

I didn't know much about this group. Here's a bit of basic info:

            http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anonymous_(group)

There was an interesting bit at the end that said critics are worried that bringing down their social network will make it harder to identify patterns and keep tabs on them in general.

And I'm in no way using Wikipedia as a valid source. I was just looking for a quick read on this group. I've seen a lot of their hacks in the news. I didn't realize it was this group.
