I sometimes look at this, just straight up number of blue chippers. Here it is as of today

An important point to those who have been sucking dwag cawk is that Ugly has fallen back from Bammer. And now Ugly lost their terrible OC and couldn't even find another terrible OC to replace him with. This could flame out spectacularly quickly, even if not this year. (We are still much less talented.)

Also, if we add a few bluechippers on NSD, we complete one of the most spectacular recruiting turnarounds in history. I can't think of anything similar. Maybe next year we can push 20-22 or so.

Did a spread sheet a while back. Meyer was the king of bluechippers consistently signing better than 2/3rds. And his bluechippers were bluer than most. You want the team to hit the magic number so 4 years of recruiting or a couple of big years. In a class of 24 you want 16. Hopefully we pick up 3 of the four we want on NSD.

This is a very valid point. Missing on top 100 kids adds up over a 4 year cycle.

But, Mullen is adding talent plus he's done well w/ transfers and grad transfers.

By the 2020 season the roster will be solid, hopefully top 8 (but more likely top 10). Depending on the QB situation in 2020, that could be a very good team - but the DL issue needs to be addressed asap.
