So number one, you can't read, because the thread clearly said it was for Miami Heat fans, not haters.

Number two, your little drive-by trolljob was dumb AF because the Heat franchise is known for being the opposite of whiners.

And number three, you're full of sh*t because my first response was NOT to call you a moron. I simply asked:

You marked that innocuous response as "stoned," and replied, "The entire roster."

That's BS. Udonis was born and raised in the County Dade and is still tight with the homies he grew up with, most of whom root for the Canes by default, like Miami locals who didn't go to a Power 5 college (or any college) typically do.

So yes, UD has shown up with his bros at the occasional UM game or watch party. But I've had the good fortune of meeting him personally more than once, and he's always ready to knowledgeably comment on the current state of the Gators in both basketball and football. I've also heard him talking Gator sports a number of times with Channing Crowder on his local radio show on WQAM. I've never heard him say or imply anything about not having love for his alma mater. To the contrary.

On and by the way, his wife and mother of his two kids is also a Gator and was on the UF track team.

 

Sorry, I didn't mean it was B.S. that he said it, I meant what he said was B.S. Meaning he was bullsh*tting around when he said it.

He did say that, on the radio one time to Dan LeBatard, who's a huge Cane homer. He was caught up in the moment and was defending his credentials as a Miami OG, because LeBatard was busting his balls for going to UF instead of UM. As I said, at other times on other radio shows, I've heard him giving plenty of love to the Gators.

Udonis Haslem was a great warrior for the Gators who played his heart out for his coach and his teammates. He was also a kid from the projects who grew up rooting for his hometown Canes, so he still has some love for them, too. There's no reason to begrudge him that.
