In the past, someone would scout the practices and report back.

They work out at 6am every day. Also with the new rules coaches can meet with the players for 2 hours a week which is huge with us learning a new offense. I'm not in Gainesville during the summer or else I would. From what I see on twitter they seem to be getting into it.

Let's get Zach out there. Get him to start earning some of that intern pay.

He hasn't been reporting to much lately, I look in on his twitter feed and not a whole lot there. The guts over at 24/7 report more seems like but I'm not a VIP member so can't read it.

Zach tweets and writes on recruiting almost solely. Thomas from 247 is on the board now maybe he can provide some information... 😁

I bet those guys wish they'd gone somewhere with an indoor practice facility.

Luke posted a handful of notes over there a few weeks ago. I used to go over to PRPs and get news and notes all the time, but they clamped down on us doing that. So it's more second-hand info through sources now. Luckily we have eight open practices this fall, so there will be a ton of legit info coming out of fall camp.

I can't wait. This is probably one of the most anticipated camps in a long time.

Not that Florida had a ton of choice about it, needing all the publicity it can get right now, but it's really nice we'll get to actually see them practice. I've always felt opening even a handful of practices to the fans/media helps set expectations more realistically than blindly taking everything the staff and players say in fall camp as truth. Should be fun.

I'll swing by on my way to work tomorrow and give them Law's love.

So you are going to give them all the finger?

Yes, and call them slack ass UGA rejects.

Isn't he a student? If so, he might be home for the summer.

This has been the biggest issue (other than oline recruiting) with Muschamp's handling of our program to me. The fans and the students are a huge part of the football experience. It's something that Urban Meyer understood. I believe Urban Meyer even had events where UF students could compete in little events like foot races with the players. By limiting access of information and interaction it's only a recipe for disaster. Now this may have been Foleys doing in order to garner more excitement and more transparency for the program. But combined with the most depth this team had had in the last four years with getting rid of Davis and Pease (understanding how to manage your coaches was a huge struggle for him but it probably is for any young head coach as they get their foothold in the profession), and the dearth of quarterbacks in the SEC, I think that we are ripe for a big season. How far we can go rests on the arm and legs of Driskel. If he can just be 75% of what we think he can be, our defense and our talent should carry us to the SECG.

The last few years I have posted "player-ran practice" updates because I was attending the baseball camp and would occasionally catch the football team on the practice fields. Unfortunately this year, no camp for my son due to a broken thumb. I will be in Gainesville for some of the open practices and will pass along my observations then.

I thought Meyer was the one who started closing most practices. He did talk about bringing past players around and did a few events before the O&B game.

Looking forward to hearing your observations!

He was really closed to media. I don't think to the student body though. He did start closing some practices his last two years. I'm not sure of the reason for that. But nothing like under Muschamp that I remember.

I've always enjoyed them DC. You've been a huge source of information to this board regarding those practices. We'll definitely miss them from you this year.

It would be nice to hear that the offense is out there practicing, they are the ones that need the most snaps to learn the new system and get their timing down.

I also think that Muschamp is opening up some of the practices because he needs to not only reconnect with the fan base but needs to get some potential recruits sitting in the stands saying, 'yea, that will be me doing that soon'. Get them pumped up too to sign with us, especially after last season.

Basically you secure it as long as the search warrant is going on. You don't "own" the crime scene for a week or even a day after the search warrant is done.

Devil rock jumped the shark with Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson. In fact, I'd argue that no good Devil rock has been produced since Paranoid back in 1970. By the way, Marilyn Manson's real name is Bryan Warner, he's from Boynton Beach, and he's a total douchebag. A friend of mine wrote an article about him and used his real name. So Briiiian calls him, has a shrieking meltdown on the phone, and threatened to sue him. Very "Boca."
seen him once in concert opening for the smashing pumpkins and it was entertaining
