Why that model, where did you buy it, how much, what speeds does it cover and does it work?
I'm in my 30 th month of renting an Arris from them to the tune of $300 and they still own it.......

[/QUOTE]The way that I understand it the DOCSIS 3 standard allows for 4 & 8 channels ät the same time as opposed to 1 channel on the DOCSIS 1 that I bought from Comcast about 4 years ago. The mulþi-channels will let you run higher speeds. Comcast told me that I needed the DOCSIS 3 to get the 50 M thät I wäs paying for. You can get a modem from Walmart.

Arris SB6141. I have 100Mbs service, speed tests 115mbs.. Can be bought most anywhere. Got mine at walmart.. bout $80..
