No. Sorry to hear but I’m not too keen on journalism these days. Nor political science.

I did not, but know he and his wife pretty well. They’re both staples around the Haile community. It wasn’t unexpected, but still sad to see. Decent guy.

No. The Journalism college was in Yon Hall when I was a student and I thought it was for athletes only. Vaya con Dios, though.

my Dad was a journalism major and that's exactly where he took all of his classes (approx 1968-1969)

Those years are approximately when I started at Florida. YOUR DAD? Really?

He was at UF from ‘65 to ‘69 (G.I. Bill) after spending eight years in the Air Force (radar on the Constellation - stationed at McCoy). We lived in Flavet and then married housing across from Lake Alice.

Got there in 68. Flavets were the bargain of the century for married students. Hardwood floors. BTW, you probably know Flavet is short for Florida Veterans housing. WWII surplus erected for the GI Bill vets coming home. Our senior year we live in Corry Village but some of my ROTC buds lived in Flavet.

Sorry to hijack your thread. RIP Wright

New honors dorm on campus on Museum Drive across from Reitz Union. The windows are ….. odd.

Hardwood floors is a stretch, as is erected! WW2 barracks moved here from Camp Blanding up by Waldo. 8 German roach infested apartments per building, asbestos shingles and wallboard, wiring wouldn’t support a window a/c so no a/c, about 50 buildings, slam full, $29.50/ month with 100 free KWatt hours of electricity thrown in, aka the world’s most fertile 5 acres. Ask me how I know…
