Somebody's a fan of the internet offense.
Not sure what that means, but there is little down side to doing it. As the announcer said, it catches the defense off guard, you throw it as far as you can and if he misses it you punt. Now, with our offensive line it might be hard to give a QB 3 seconds standing in his own end zone and I might question it, but it's still a great play.

I called it once in Pop Warner and we got a 99 yard TD completion. Can't get more proof than that.

Spurrier certainly was. He got pissed that we could do anything with short passes one game, and couldn't punt either (thanks Zook) so he just started bombing the ball, even on fourth and long. I think we scored like 28 points in a quarter and the other team quit.

I wish I could remember who, maybe LSU, and probably in 95 or 96, but things were a bit fuzzy from the home games and we didn't have dvr back in the day.

In fairness, there's probably no video of Trapp in the mid-60s (none that I could find). #75 All Time Gator. Good description of the catch here. https://www.gatorsports.com/article/20060620/GATORS70/60620015
lisemThough they could easily have put the Bell to Nattiel TD in there - see below.

Dearest Bart: Correct, hard to locate clip of Trapp's run... thanks for Bell to Nattiel clip... you might recall, it followed a great goal line stance led by Alonso Johnson... after the game, a huge celebration was held in the old Jax Coliseum where Galen Hall signed score cards.
