Will Grier be redshirted now?

According to the tweeter feed, no talk of redshirting yet. But Muschamp listed Harris, Jackson, Sharpe, Tabor Willis, Wilson and Worton as Freshmen who will play Saturday.

Morgan Moriarty also is confirming statements that Muschamp is stating coaching staff hasn't discussed redshirting anyone yet.

I hope that we make it through the season unscathed, especially at the QB position. If we do lose JD, however, I'd expect WG to be available and getting reps in practice and games. I hope Grier's mindset toward redshirting hasn't changed since getting involved in the competition and going through practice. I hope he can continue to work at improving, looking toward the future and be content with this decision.

As of now VHIII, Poole, Gorman, Neal starting db's , Frosh will play.Dubose returner, Harris backup Qb, no redshirt decided for Grier, Pittman starting in slot, asked if Robinson has finished w/suspension from last year has he done enough,WM "so far" he's done everything needed.

Redshirts aren't handed out until the end of the year, so it doesn't matter what happens right now. He could say Grier is redshirting and put it on a billboard, but he won't if Driskel gets hurt. Come on, people, learn how the system works.

It is true that redshirts aren't handed out until the end of the year, doesn't mean that the staff might not have their mind already made on which players are being planned to redshirt or not.
