Little update from the weekend... I have a lot of Razorback friends (of course). 2 have season tickets to baseball. They had driven in on Thursday (Fayetteville's about 4 hours from home). I called them when we got to the stadium on Saturday. They were so defeated after the first 2 games, they left Saturday morning...didn't even go to the game. Looked like a lot of fans did that. Then after the 5th inning everybody left. It was almost all O&B by the 9th.
I got my picture taken with Ribbie (their baseball mascot), tweeted it and they put it on the scoreboard.. Fans were NOT happy about my Gator shirt and hat...lol.
I was standing behind home plate filming/then deleting each pitch in the 6th inning, just trying to catch a big play. An official came over to me and told me I couldn't film because of the SEC Network, so I stopped (it was probably more because of my hat) 2 pitches before Alonso's 3 run Jack...oh well. Lol.
My son (he's 14) had a great time...wore his Tebow Jersey (I know, wrong sport...) We've been in Arkansas 6 years...still trying to train the kids up right! Anyway, beautiful stadium, nice day, wasn't the prettiest game, but Gators fought one out. It's always nice to see the Gators...I was impressed with how many fans were there. We are definitely looking for tickets in November...
