I really can’t imagine what Riley would gain by transferring. Literally the only better situation for him would be NBA but he’s probably a season away from being a sure 1st rounder which is essential for leaving early for the League. With NIL there’s no reason to go for a G league salary

I have been scratching my head listening to the constant comments about Kugel transferring because it makes no sense in the current situation.

If he was not being utilized properly or facing some issues with the coaching staff I could understand but neither of these situations exist.

This kinda smells like tampering by another school given the presumptive nature of many of the comments.

He's already said he's not interested in transferring

Yes, the argument of UF always looking for the next diamond in the rough is a legitimate one and one that drives me nuts. Handing the keys to Mike White was stupid. There was no improvement year in and year out with him at the helm. Not many players improved individually either.

But to even put panic and Golden in the same sentence now is ridiculous. I was very down on him early in the season. But I thought he did well with members of the Island of Misfit Toys. Obviously losing Colin was a big issue. We likely win a few more games.

That being said we didn't make the NCAA tournament so the season is not a success. Even if we go on a run and win the NIT, you need get into the big dance. Todd has work to do and I think he knows it. Make the tournament next year and we're on the right track. But the roster is gonna be another year of misfit toys.

I love basketball offseason, it gives me some disappointment free time before football season starts up the whole process again.
