Disclaimer: F uck Georgia and Roquan Smith and the ground he stands on for ever stooping to playing football at that dump.

Smith finally signed today following a month-long holdout, but not before he got the Bears to give in on contract language that would have cost him guaranteed money if he missed playing time over illegal helmet hits.

Smith isn't alone. Four other NFL teams have done contracts with similar player protections.

"It's going to lead to a whole new evolution," Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan said.
