    Founders breakfast stout

Damn this is good. Great brewer here but they’ve really hit this one out of the park . I’ve heard of this one for years but have yet to try until now. Well hidden 8 percent which separates it from other stouts I like . Coffee taste is right off the bat . Chocolate and caramel lingers throughout . Breakfast stout lives up to the hype . The beer is perfect. A++

      Sweetwater fresh sticky nugs

Wow. Wonder what this is going to taste like. Smells like mango. Taste is easier on the weed than I anticipated. It’s there with light hops . Thought it would be heavy considering it’s a double IPA. Very nice citrus and lemon taste to it as well. Some resin in the aftertaste . Almost like you’re burning a poorly rolled J. This is probably the best beer I’ve had from these guys . They have some winners and certainly some losers to avoid . This one is their best effort . A -.

          @Gatorbait25 @soflagator @GatorBart

After reading, and seeing, the post above about the Founders, I went out and searched to find what was available. Although the Breakfast Stout wasn’t available at my grocery, I did find a few other options. KBS, CBS and Better Half. I decided to go with the KBS since it was the most reasonably priced for a bottle. The CBS and Better Half were only sold as a Pint and the CBS was $24.99 for the pint. I did taste a sample of it in the Tap Room and could understand the price point, but I’d rather a bottle of wine for $25.

Back to this KBS... Aged in Oak Bourbon Barrels for 12 months with massive amounts of coffee and chocolate, this stout is smooth. Considering this, the CBS was even better.

Looks good buddy. KBS is one of the next up on my list.

            Thanks for posting!

Well I found the bottle of vodka @Detroitgator was raving about . I’m not a huge vodka fan but definitely enjoyed it . Found it to be a little more potent and easier to drink than some of the domestic stuff like iceberg for instance . It’s going back to the freezer until toe meets leather Saturday .

Glad you liked it... now, let me cause a sh*t storm... if you’re not shooting it straight from the freezer (mine’s always in the freezer), and you like Mountain Dew, mix em.

I'm not crazy about soda, but I may try that. I have tonic and red bull as mixers for it.
Ginger for the dark stuff. On Sunday It was real good with the tonic. I may try the red bull with it on Saturday.

Yeah, tonic works for me, Red Bull would be fine with the regular Russian Standard, but I'm guessing will kill the flavors that are added to the Gold you've got. With Russians and Ukrainians, when doing cold shots, they always chase with real fruit juices like apple or cherry compote.

Yeah, that sounds great. I’ve heard good things about those but haven’t been able to find them.

I love pulling that tidbit out on people who rave about Titos (which seems to be ALOT of people). It's grain alcohol and they were sued over their wild homemade claims. They all scoff until I type in "titos lawsuit" into google.

Tried two belizian beers, one good one meh.

Lighthouse is good, you just have to get over the fact that it's in a recycled bottle that was only washed before being refilled and capped.

Belikin is mehh. Like a cheap heineken, but it is in a clean, new bottle each time.

Presidente, a domincan beer is pretty good. And medalla, a Puerto Rican beer is pretty good for cheap beer too.

Sorry, I don't have access to much else down here.

My wife is Dominican/Cuban, so I’m a little biased. But I’m with you. Presidente is actually a good beer. I’d take that, or their lite, over much of the other regional beers.
