Bits & Pieces: Florida vs Florida State

I don’t think he has thrown into the flat or along the line of scrimmage a single time. His pocket presence is great, downfield vision is good for a freshman, but he needs to see the whole field. Sometimes, those shorter outlets open up for huge gains or TDs. He’ll get there. When he does, he’ll be one of the best.
And remember, all this experience has been on a bum leg, which might actually have taught him some pocket presence by default that will make him even better next year when he can actually run as well.

He was behind Taylor and Slackman on the depth chart it looks like. I completely forgot those two dudes were on the team.
Slackman certainly fizzled out which just goes to show you how wrong Mel Kipper can be since he had Slackman graded as the 3rd or 4th best defensive tackle in CFB when he transferred to UF last year. I don't think he was quite ready for the jump up in competition from the Ivy League...

It's hard to teach pocket presence. Very few have it. He's been amazing this year.

Slackman looks like a fullback to me. He just isn't very big.

To be honest I don't remember seeing him after the Miami game until the very end of the Ole Miss game. It could have something to do with a nagging injury that he had coming in but I didn't see much from him during the Miami game either.

Slackman in the SEC….

Was watching breakdowns of his throws vs fsu.

On Burke’s TD, Montrell has crept out of the backfield and is all alone walking into the end zone off to the right. Burke is not the first read but still a much trickier throw than the layup to Johnson. Just wait until DJ spots all the throws.

DJ is able to finesse the ball just about wherever he wants it to go. Once he settles into seeing all his reads he may still go for the first one he thinks he can make, but he’s gonna be THAT dude.

Maybe but that play is absolutely designed to go to Burke and Id trust a WR's hands over a RB especially in a "must have" catch.

Tate Casey on the radio broadcast was talking about Mertz coming to him saying watch this we're going to score a touchdown on this play when he heard the play call.

Wonder if Mertz might want to stay in Gainesville to start a coaching career.

If they search my house, they will find lots of pairs of gloves (and some toddler mittens too). So, the first question is whether the glove in question is connected to the kidnapper. Then, the next question is when was it found and has it been forensically examined. They may have found it right away on day one and just didn't announce it. Evidence is often (almost always) withheld from the public unless it helps the investigation. If it was just discovered, then why the delay? Why wasn't it found sooner? Was it really well concealed? OJ jokes aside, leaving a glove behind is really dumb.
you can also tell these guys are married with a family of their own. Because they didn’t even ask why there was only one glove, and if there was any chance of finding the matching counterpart. They’ve seen this episode before.

FNC reporting that a glove has been found inside the Guthrie home. How can it be found 10+ days after the event? Has incompetence impacted every aspect of local/state/fed govt?

Excellent find. The fact that this song was originally performed by Temple of the Dog is clearly an homage to both the weird Epstein rituals and the inevitable shift from fiat currency to Dogecoin. Can’t believe they got Chris too.

in fairness, if this Savannah is anything like my wife, the glove was probably in the toaster oven.
