Losing Oh No GIF by Star Now

49-17 thrashing at the hands of the Longhorns…Yes, we SUCK again (and again and again…). Here’s a few things we should have learned thus far:
  • Depending on who you believe concerning the value of Moral Victories, we might actually be 9-0 thus far! Nah, Moral Victories actually count as an “L” and we’ve got five of them now with more on the way.
  • When Scott Stricklin tells us that Billy will be our coach next year, what he’s really saying is that he wants to be the AD next year (and likely beyond) despite presiding over some of the worst hires and epic losing seasons in recent Gator Football history. And this is the guy who has failed TWICE (that we know of) to address grossly inappropriate behavior by Gator coaches!
  • When Billy says he’s thankful for the chance to continue coaching the Gators, believe him. But I’d like to know exactly what he plans to do differently to change the losing trajectory we are on. Right now, it seems like hanging onto DJ is his only hope. It’s hard to see him magically putting together a top 10 recruiting class or attracting a group of talented players from the portal despite some feelings in that regard.
  • Whoever told the press that Warner has an arm and can “spin it” is guilty of Russian Disinformation. I appreciate Warner’s enthusiasm and willingness, but he is light years away from being an SEC starting QB. We could have taken half of his pass plays and stuck the ball in the RBs gut and at least had a chance to stay a little closer to the ‘Horns. Those two were the offensive story today.
  • The defense we lauded for their efforts last week against the Dawgs, especially the Secondary who picked Carson Beck 3 times, got absolutely shredded by Ewers today to the tune of 5 TDs and 300+ yds. As an old colleague used to say “they couldn’t cover a hooker with a bedsheet!”
  • The scoring streak lives on. As was pointed out it was eerily familiar to the Bowl game with Oregon St where Billy had to call for a late FG to avoid ending the streak. To his credit he did tack on a couple of late TDs. That all means something…doesn’t it?
No other way to put it…at 4-5 now, we’re floundering…again. LSU up next followed by Ole Miss who’s fresh off an upset of UGA. Maybe DJ is healthy next week. If so I hope a lot of the other walking wounded are healthy as well. We’re woefully short on playmakers outside of the RBs. Maybe Billy can “miracle” something together. And maybe the MegaMillions ticket I bought today is a winner…yeah!

Some appropriate music for these two…

Sorry Gators, but these two AIN’T IT! And until they’re gone we’ll continue with bad football. You are what you consistently do…and they aren’t cranking out masterpieces. I also think it’s counter-intuitive to think that holding onto a coach on the threshold of a 4th consecutive losing season will somehow “maintain” a good recruiting class and keep some of the current roster from defecting. Losers, for the greater part, ultimately attract losers and repel winners OR their ineptitude inhibits growth of those players with potential. All of this has been on a 3+ year loop. But according to Stricklin, we just need to be patient. Maybe 15 more years and we’ll be a .500 team?

Go Gators…but shaking my head that losing is being accepted by our leadership with open arms!

:chomp:

And Ole Miss gets two weeks to figure out the Rubik's cube of Billyball. That'll probably take him about 2.5 days and they can take 10 days off to recruit and heal.

Will we win another game?

We could have taken half of his pass plays and stuck the ball in the RBs gut and at least had a chance to stay a little closer to the ‘Horns.

Or perhaps used a RB as primary pass target over the middle isolated against a LB? I have seen it 30 times today and only a poor pass will derail the play if set up properly. Sling Blade has a pee wee league passing scheme so why would you not incorporate some of your better players in the pass game beyond just horizontal check down outlets? Or perhaps once shove the ball into the belly of the motion guy who not once got that today. Otherwise the motion guy becomes a 30 yard horizontal outlet which the defense knows already and thus allows them to have an extra defender where your primary targets could use more help.

somebody, or some people, bull gators, whoever, needs to get Stricklin fired for the Golden situation, that needs to happen first, because as we have seen, he's backing a loser to continue losing next year..

have whoever replaces Stricklin, give nappy the choice to resign, offer him a very limited buyout, or he'll have to risk them firing him for cause, we have somewhat of a case.. I'm hoping nappy would just take the reduced buyout and move on..

until these things happen, the spiral into the abyss will continue

I understand being a "Fan" but anyone who really thought we would win or even cover today is High on something stronger than MJ.

The Captain of the ship is responsible for everything good or bad on his ship. Who is the Captain of our ship?

In addition to the poor recruiting, poor development, poor coaching and poor execution.... we are also hated by the Football Gods!

I'm not mad, I'm not frustrated nor am I upset........ I just don't care anymore.....

I haven't attended, watched or listened to a single game this year.......... and I'm the guy who has missed birthdays, weddings and funerals to support my Gators. That is a sad commentary.

Deuce in purgatory....

What’s the cause? That he sucks? It’s not his fault we wanted to pay him $8 million to come from the Sunbelt. Anybody would’ve taken that.

We bid against ourselves. Because Stricklin is a dumbass. Free market, baby.

Well, I thought we would cover today because the spread was so big and I thought that he would for sure try to shorten the clock and run the football a lot.

But no, he had a quarterback throwing incompletions to stop the clock. A quarterback, who has completed virtually no passes since high school. A quarterback who can’t throw a football 20 yards down field.

I knew he was a dumbass. But coming from his Sunbelt roots I thought he would at least run the ball and try to control the clock. Like he did there.

He’s so incompetent

Remember when Spurrier and his staff would go to the beach and chillax 5 or 6 days before the Tennessee game, and still kick the crap out of Fat Phil and the Vols? I wonder if that’s what Lane plans on doing over the next 2 weeks?

I hope he isn't planning to kick the crap out of Fat Phil and the Vols. That would be horrible prep considering. :snicker:

Princely is gonna stinkpalm Billy after they kick our ass in the swamp ensuring his third straight losing season . Fuxk this good for nothing bastard and his boyfriend Scottie to hell

I suspect that even if Lane game plans for the wrong team and wrong coach, he’ll still put a beating on Sun Belt Billy. Maybe he only wins by 38 instead of 45, but I suspect he’ll still win.

Utah started their 4th or 5th string QB tonight. They are leading undefeated BYU late in the 2nd 14-10 with very competent QB play.

Seems a head coach in his 3rd year would have some decent QB depth...especially since he is the OC and QB coach as well.

If they search my house, they will find lots of pairs of gloves (and some toddler mittens too). So, the first question is whether the glove in question is connected to the kidnapper. Then, the next question is when was it found and has it been forensically examined. They may have found it right away on day one and just didn't announce it. Evidence is often (almost always) withheld from the public unless it helps the investigation. If it was just discovered, then why the delay? Why wasn't it found sooner? Was it really well concealed? OJ jokes aside, leaving a glove behind is really dumb.
you can also tell these guys are married with a family of their own. Because they didn’t even ask why there was only one glove, and if there was any chance of finding the matching counterpart. They’ve seen this episode before.

FNC reporting that a glove has been found inside the Guthrie home. How can it be found 10+ days after the event? Has incompetence impacted every aspect of local/state/fed govt?

Excellent find. The fact that this song was originally performed by Temple of the Dog is clearly an homage to both the weird Epstein rituals and the inevitable shift from fiat currency to Dogecoin. Can’t believe they got Chris too.
