Tennessee, and defensive line coach Brady Hoke will take over as interim head coach. Darren Rovell adds that Tennessee owes Butch Jones $8.23 million with 3 years, and 3 1/2 months left on his contract at $2.5 million per year, which will be offset by the salary of a future coaching job.

Also, they noted that he knows that his job at ESPN also has a shelf life. ESPN will not be renewing their football contract so Gruden will be out of a job. Now, he would be a hot commodity as an analyst too.
