My favorite and daily wear watch is my Rolex Explorer II. I have another Rolex, a Yachtmaster. I have some other watches, maybe a dozen. My favorite out of the rest is my Lacher divers watch, I have a couple of Laco Pilots watches that are pretty slick.

That Rolex is beautiful. I've looked at some Zenith models, too, and like the brand.

As of this moment, while fantasizing, the Rolex I'd buy is the GMT-Master II "Pepsi":

But this will be after the Omega Seamaster.

Which will be after the Oris Aquis Titanium Date.

Which will be after the Sinn U1 B on Bracelet (fully tegimented) - ordered yesterday and should be here Thursday.

Gatorbreath needs to get to earning to get all these in the collection!

On a related matter, does anyone want to buy some motorcycles??? :lol2:
I have a GMT Master II

Yachtmaster is locked up in the safe. I had it restored by Rolex a couple years ago I wear it on special occasions now. Platinum is a bitch to keep looking good.

Love the Navi too!
I really like the Navitimer and it's a special edition. I never wear the GMT and don't really like it because it's pretty pretentious... I carry it with me when I travel outside the US in case I need to "barter" my way out of something.

So, the next step in building my watch collection is complete. I got the Sinn U1, blue dial fully tegimented. A German brand, Sinn watches have a small, but very ardent fan base. Especially given she's fully tegimented (case and bracelet), she should hold a good deal of her value over time. She is a heavy, sturdy tool watch - much heavier than anything else I've worn, including the Breitling.

Here she is next to the Breitling in the winder:

The Seamaster then the GMT Master II are the still the big whales. With a decent year, the Seamaster will join the fold, hopefully by the end of Q1.

In the meantime, some smaller acquisitions like the Oris Aquis Date Automatic Green and some Hamiltons that have caught my eye are possible.

Interesting collection. I'd love to see a snap of your Yachtmaster, if you remember the next time you break it out of the safe. And I could have my arm twisted for an Explorer II, too. That is one gorgeous timepiece.

Honestly, I have to bone up on Laco - German, right? Those are nice looking watches. They remind me of some of the IWC Pilot's watches.

Those are beautiful watches - especially the Rolex. It is easy to read and with a beautiful color combination. I do really like Breitlings, but the dial and bezel on that are a bit too intricate - or maybe busy - for me.

Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, and you're welcome. I agree on the Breitling being "busy", and the hands are a bit thin for seeing, especially at night. The watch is very special to me as it is a special edition that went to a small group of people that worked together, so I'm never getting rid of it and I do prefer it to the Rolex (which as I said, is more an "insurance policy" in some of the places I have worked.

These are two other watches I have. The Citizen Atomic Nighthawk (it's the European one, not US) was a gift from someone I worked with in Afghanistan and it is my daily wear, and that watch has been through some serious schit! I love the face of it, it is VERY easy to read, glows like hell in the dark... it's just really a clean looking watch and I actually get more "watch guys" asking me about it than any other watch because everyone loves the face. The one on the right is a Zeno (swiss) dual time watch, also given to me by a friend, but from Ukraine. I've actually never worn the Zeno, but I do like the clean face, and he knew I liked "clean faces" when he gave it to me.

Again, if anyone here wants an introduction to my friend Antony, I'm telling you, he's worth it. He's had his shop in Boca forever, he carries things stock (new and used), and can find just about anything you are looking for very likely at a better price than any of us could ever get. Also, I'm pretty sure that everything he deals with used comes with original box and paperwork. He's a South African that married an American girl and put down roots here. My introduction to him was from a South African friend of mine (he's guy that gave me the Citizen in Afghanistan... also gave me a cool, hand made/forged Italian knife) that I've worked with in many countries.

I'll take a photo, it's just a plain old platinum Yachtmaster.

Laco, yes, German. I can't remember but I think they use Swiss movements.

I'm on a diet (for the first time ever) after the holidays and I am wearing my crappy old Apple Watch for a while. I miss the Rolex for sure.

Love the Zeno.

Where is his shop in Boca?

I'm not sure it's a walk-in shop, but it's listed as: 1700 S Dixie Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33432

Here's the website again: Luxury Watches, Luxury Watch, Luxury Watch Brands
If I ever take you up on the introduction it will to be buy one of these:
Rolex-4-150x150.jpg

It's been my "dream" watch for thirty years. Doubt I'll ever pull the trigger tho; just can't bring myself to spend that much on something I can't drive.

I'm with ya... I woulda never bought the Rolex I have just for myself... couldn't justify it for the same reason you state. It blows me away to click on a random watch on his website and see that a watch (again, just randomly clicked on one a minute ago that looked funky) is $105,000, but he'll give it to you for JUST $84,000! Nuts if you can't drive it! :)

Maybe if I win the lottery. Of, course I don't tend to buy tickets so.........
