So getting back to the Ford Gt and why this happened there are more factors.
One he recanted his story about downshifting and instead said he upshifted at 35mph. I can tell you these cars as well as my Shelby(same transmission and engine although mine is modified to 700HP) Have VERY tall gears and like my Shelby will go 60mph in first gear(again I've changed my real axle gearing to 3.73) since the supercharger is building torque massively even shifting into 2nd at 35mph is a very scary situation for the novice driver who doesn't expect to be losing traction and having a slight "kickout" to the left with the rear end.....
The other part is the same anytime you buy a "garage Queen". I'll bet this was a very low mileage car STILL WITH the original tires....watch this video for an explanation....Again it's a man's car and takes a man with experience to know what to expect.

Umm....yes. I do agree. Lack of traction control from the driver mostly. If you weren’t such an obnoxious turd who loves to listen to himself talk, I’d almost be tempted to agree with you every now and then.
So now you agree that lack of traction control played a role. Go ahead, admit you were wrong.

The GT was not built to mimic a modern supercar or even a potent average daily driver. It was built for experienced enthusiast who wanted a challenge on the track and a "older racecar" feel, not lap times.
I'm making the assumption here that this being an extra rare Heritage Edition that most serious collectors would hardly drive and keep as original down to the 16 year old factory tires which by now would be useless and the fact that this clown never gave the original tires a thought or the torque curve to gear ratio consideration and traction or lack thereof caused him to sh!t his pants and forget to double clutch the car while letting off the throttle and not hitting the brakes. Again a lack of experience driving this particular type of car and not knowing the condition of your car are not the cars fault for being designed the way it was as you referred to it.
Again it was designed to be a nostalgic enthusiast piece probably so guys your age could channel their inner Ken Miles....Dude, traction control is traction control. It’s there to assist any idiot at any speed. Besides, I inferred from your previous posts that you were one of the few man’s men capable of harnessing this beast of the wild.

Personally I think the car was an underachiever and from what a previous owner that I've spoke with also said....But he paid around $150k for it in 2005(not a Heritage)and it looks like from the video they are going for a few times more than that....so I bet it would have been a better "disappointment" than his ex wife who begged him to sell it...Good one.![]()
