More of the Bryson/Trump round. Short vids.

And bit longer....56 mins, but it's entertaining.

I like Trump’s politics, economics, love for America, etc. and am hoping for a second term from him. I once said I wasn’t sure if I’d want to hang around him, play golf, if given the chance, but after watching the video I’d love to play golf with him and Bryson too for that matter. The Prez swings it pretty well for a man his age and knows his way around the course and he can carry on a great conversation on a variety of subjects. He’s much more human than he’s given credit for being.

The Swordsman has left the clubhouse.

Chi Chi Rodriguez has passed on.

RIP Chi Chi. Got to see him in person once at the old Tallahassee Open at Killearn CC. He was quite the showman. Always loved his sword fight whenever he made a putt.

Ok who has done a Robert Trent Jones Trail golf trip? Now that I'm here in Nashville, the closest place is Muscle Shoals about 2 hours away. Got some time off in Sept and I might need a little 'me' time.

My home coarse of Lakeridge is a Sr. design. I just played Bodega Bay on Wednesday and that’s a Jr. design.

Well I did my first foray into Alabama for the RTJ golf trail.

Left Tuesday morning with my buddy and drove down to Muscle Shoals and played the Fightin Joe course. Right on the Tennessee river, very cool. Then we drove over to Huntsville and stayed with his brother that night, then played the Highlands course yesterday morning before driving back.

The whole thing was very cool. I didn't really know that much about it but each of these places has a couple or even three courses at each venue, usually two championship style courses and also a par-3 course. There is a LOT of golf to be played here! Each place has a Marriott close by that is associated with the course so perfect for stay and play.

Hats off to RTJ for setting these courses up. I haven't had this much fun getting around a track in quite some time. Hard to explain, but the way he lays out the course with the traps and the water etc is fantastic if you like thinking your way around the track.

oth courses we played were in great shape with good fairways, smooth greens rolling about a 10 on the stimp (although lots of pitch marks due to how much play they get) and fantastic bunkers. The rough was no joke even though it wasn't that tall in the primary cut, it was thick and your ball would nestle down and you'd have to hit through a lot of grass before getting the club face on the ball.

The great thing is that since I live within 100 miles of the nearest course I qualify for the players card, which only cost like 50ish bucks and it brings the green fees way down. I paid about $53 bucks at both places. Unbelievable.

Bottom line I'll definitely be going back for more of that. The two day trip was super easy but I can see how a vacation where you drive around from place to place would be great as well.

I’m still working this one out in my warped mind…

Really? You've never seen anything that wasn't very tall but was very thick?
