Right around the time when Tennessee went through its debacle with offering Greg Schiano its head coaching job and then rescinding, a report indicated the position had been offered to Chip Kelly. According to the Vols, that never happened — despite what Kelly’s camp wants us to believe.

In the world of agentdom, there is never an offer and never and acceptance until both sides have agreed. They do coy negotiations like "Would your client accept this for so many years?"

"No but my my client would probably take this amount for so many years."

Its just like UF not giving Chip an offer, despite us soending four days typing and retyping drafts with various counterproposals. :wink: but we never made him an offer, trust us.

No, they wanted jeremy pruitt all along. All those others were just attmepts to feign interest in other alternatives to make pruitt jump more quickly.
