Hmmm...I thought they just cut Chris Rainey and made room for Dwyer. Nothing to do with Rainey besides the fact they wanted Dwyer more than Rainey. At least, that is what I thought I read. It sucks because eye witnesses said that he didn't slap the girl back when he was "arrested" in Gainesville. They were pulling tugging a back pack and the girl fell down. I don't even think she was the one that called the cops. Anyways, we all know GPD unlike TPD gets off for some reason when they arrest sports players (Taco steeling, barking at dogs just to name a few lame ones). Hope he has a back up plan because it looks more and more like football isn't going to work out for him.

Maybe the NFL should cut Rapey Winston preemptively.

You are right. I find it weird about the GPD. Most college town PD''s let little things slide. Remember when Carlos Dunlap passed out behind the wheel? Drunk driving is very serious. But most college town cops would have got him back to the dorm. The GPD really do get off on arresting athletes.the_alphagator1906 said:

Dwyer was put on non-football injury list ending his season. Cards said Rainey was released because Andre Ellington is now healthy, not due to DV.

The arrest rate for NFL players is lower than society in general I think for that age group.
