We are trying to make the most of this time with the teenagers. What are some classic 80's, 90's, 00's must-see "family" movies?

We've watched Back to the Future, Ghost Busters, Jumanji. Tonight I'm voting for My Cousin Vinny

Big My Cousin Vinny fan, but there are a lot of F bombs if that matters.

Thanks for the warning. It’s funny how you forget that stuff until you go to watch it with kids. We tried Airplane a few years ago and it got uncomfortable 10 minutes in and had to turn it off.

Our kids are old enough now that those words are ok.

The joys of parenthood. Hell, both our kids became old enough to go to R rated movies over two years ago and I still get uncomfortable watching many movies with them!

Nice - some of those the kids would be better off watching without their parents. Or maybe it's better if the parents didn't watch them with the kids.

I remember liking those movies, but frankly don’t exactly remember each storyline. I remembered liking “Good Fellas” and recommended it as a movie to watch with my MIL. I clearly didn’t exactly remember the content .

Footloose is big with the kids right now. At least in our area. They are showing it at a local drive-in.

Along with Flashdance and Dirty Dancing? Throw in Saturday Night Fever and you have a roadmap directly to 2020.

John Lithgow is one of those actors that is just great in anything he does, even if the movie or show is not very good. He’s like Gene Hackman or Gary Oldman.

Both Lithgow and Oldman have played a convincing Winston Churchill ironically.
